Gosford greyhound previews & racing tips | Gold Cup night, 3/1/25
This Friday night the Group 2 Gosford Gold Cup will be run and won at Gosford. Along with the Group 2 Gold Cup final, there will also be the final of the Gosford Lightning run over 388m for the sprinters and eight other great quality races.
The first race begins at 7:16pm and Australian Racing Greyhound has assessed all the form and come up with three of our best for the program.

Gosford Best Bet – Wild Sylvia (Race 6)
Wild Sylvia made it five in a row when she stepped out beautifully from this very box and destroyed a top-quality heat here last week in a flying 22.04. She now boasts a record of nine wins and eight placings from her 19 starts. She meets a stronger field here in the final of The Gosford Lightning, but she has shown she is something special and if she gets away like she did in the heats will have the Final at her mercy.

Gosford Next Best – My Hepburn (Race 2)
My Hepburn loves Gosford and has a great record here with nine wins and six placings from 17 starts. She also doesn’t mind drawing wide with three wins and nine placings from her 12 starts in box eight. She has broken the magical 22sec mark here a couple of times but none of them recently. She has been freshened up after having a crack at the Group 1 Paul Wheeler at Wenty Park and should be ready to ping the lids and go straight to the front of this race and prove extremely hard to beat.

Gosford Best Value – Black Tsunami (Race 7)
Black Tsunami had no luck in the heats of the Gold Cup from this very box, beginning well and getting strung out at the first turn. If she does get some luck this time and can find the front, she will be at ridiculous odds from the top online bookmakers for such a talented greyhound. She ran second in the Group 2 Maitland Gold Cup and recently trialled 29.58 secs at Wenty Park. She just needs luck from the horrible draw and should be found at a good price with the top greyhound bookmakers.
