The finale to a superb Group One Vic Peters Classic series will be decided tonight at Wentworth Park, with all eight greyhounds capable of taking out the title and securing $75,000 for connections.
Jason Fletcher will be looking to win his first Group One race with Xtreme Knocka, who is the fastest qualifier from last week's semi finals, after a sizzling 29.56 performance over the 520m. The son of Knocka Norris and Misty Field will need to overcome a tough box eight draw, with plenty of speedy greyhounds engaged underneath him.
John Finn's Anything Less has been installed as the pre-race favourite, and has a huge motor when he gets wound up. After producing a sensational come from behind performance last week in 29.61, this talented greyhound will only need some luck from the three alley to challenge this field and continue his trainers winning ways of late.
Talented female trainer Christine Oldfield will be looking to notch up her second Vic Peters Classic final in three years, after taking out the race in 2011 with now proven sire Spring Gun.
Tonight's winner will join an illustrious honour roll, including the likes of Proven Nitro, Nitro Burst, Cromlah Bale, Collision, Go Wild Teddy and Bobniak. This series continues to produce sensational greyhounds both on and off the track, with this year's crop of youngsters certainly no different.
The final will be run and won at 9.50pm.

ARG Comment: Is ideally drawn in box one and showed good stamina last week to finish second behind Lucy Lobster. Will need to be in a handy position mid-race to have any chance of saluting in this affair, but can carve out a nice time and give trainer Christine Oldfield another Vic Peters title.

Carole Eaton (Kennel Representative): “I am just so excited to be in this final. I couldn't be happier with the box draw as he's a mad railer and a good beginner as well. He will need some luck because there's some very good dogs in this race, but anything can happen.”
Melinda Finn (Kennel Representative): “Will need luck at the start from box three.”

Comment – Glenn Rounds (Trainer): “I'm hoping he's not too far back heading around the first corner and can get some room to move. He's a very consistent dog and has gone well in this series, so I'm just hoping for a bit of luck and that he can finish off the race strongly.”
Charlie Lamb (Trainer): “I'm so proud of her and what she's done in this series. She's such a good little chaser like her mum was and I'm just hoping she can jump well again from this box.”
Anthony Azzopardi (Trainer): “I think he's only a place chance. It's going to be hard to win from box seven. It's a good box for him, but to much pace in box five and six, so it's going to be hard to get across. We are only hoping for a good result.”

Jason Fletcher (Trainer): “I'm not confident with box eight, but he has plenty of ability and I'm just hoping he can avoid trouble at the first turn. If he's close enough he can win, but there's some very strong dogs in the race that he may not be able to run down.”
