Al’s Entity gives Michelle Sultana regional Million Dollar Chase double
On Tuesday, Al's Entity lined up in the Bulli regional final of the 2023 Million Dollar Chase (MDC) series and delivered greyhound trainer Michelle Sultana her second regional final win, and her third MDC semi-finalist.
A day after kennelmate and littermate Isle's Entity saluted in the Maitland regional final of the series, Al's Entity produced a stunning run from off the pace to win the Bulli qualifier.
Starting the race as the +130 race favourite to win the final with greyhound betting sites, Al's Entity was only fairly away at box rise, sitting in sixth in the run after 50m.
+700 fourth favourite Eyes To Eyes drove to the lead from box seven, allowing Rockstar Heeney the perfect cart across from box eight to sit second as they entered the corner.
As they emerged from the home corner, Al's Entity was between runners in fifth place and checked off heels.
Entering the straight, Eyes To Eyes attempted valiantly to find the line in first, but Al's Entity made up five lengths in the run home to run over the top of the early leader and win by 0.25 lengths in 26.19.
He beat home Eyes To Eyes and +250 second favourite Lidsdale Road, who also ran on from back in the field.

The win impressed trainer Michelle Sultana, saying “I had my heart in my mouth watching him.
“He had to work really hard to win.
It was a big run, and I couldn't believe he actually got there.”
Al's Entity is a son of Collision and Zara's Entity, making him a full brother and littermate to Maitland MDC regional final winner Isle's Entity.
Both greyhounds are bred and owned by Maureen and Mick Barry in Victoria, and were formally trained in Victoria by Paul Abela, who specifically sent the dogs to Michelle Sultana and partner Darryl Thomas for the Million Dollar Chase series.
“They came up to us from Paul, and him and Darryl came up with the idea to go to Maitland and Bulli with them.
“Darryl and Paul have a really good relationship.
“Paul trusts us with his dogs, and he believes if you want to really have a go at these big races, you can't travel up and down the highway every week with them.
“Al's Entity has been with us before, finishing third in the Vic Peters recently,” said Sultana.
Al's Entity won the 2023 Group 3 Vic Bred Maiden final at The Meadows in February and made the final of the Group 3 Launching Pad at Sandown before finishing third behind Zipping Remus in the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic at Wentworth Park.
Al's Entity has had 18 starts for five wins and eight placings, earning the Barry's $82,116 in prizemoney.
The Bulli MDC regional final placegetters, Al's Entity, Eyes To Eyes, and Lidsdale Road, all qualify for direct entry through to the Million Dollar Chase semi finals at Wentworth Park.
This week's winning MDC regional final double gives NSW greyhound trainer Michelle Sultana the lead in the 2023 Million Dollar Chase, making her the only trainer to train two regional final winners and the only trainer to have qualified three greyhounds.
Sultana leads Victorian trainers Jason Thompson and Mark Delbridge, who have so far qualified two greyhounds for the Million Dollar Chase semi-finals.
The MDC semi-finals will be held at Wentworth Park on October 6, with the $1,000,000 to-the-winner final run a week later.
The MDC race series continues with the Casino regional final on Thursday, while a slew of regional Million Dollar Chase heats will be conducted over the next few days at Richmond (Wednesday), Gunnedah (Thursday), The Gardens (Saturday's Group 2 Black Top heats) and Wagga (Saturday).
