After Greyhound Racing NSW's deal with Sky expired at the end of 2021, it is understood that the governing body is hoping to stay on with Sky Racing in Australia while taking back its international rights.

This move has come about as a result of limited exposure to overseas markets due to a deal with Tabcorp, and GRNSW believes it would be better off brokering new agreements in Asia and the American markets.

Greyhound Racing Victoria is looking into ending its partnership with Tabcorp altogether, despite having a number of years remaining on the pair's current contract.

Along with Harness Racing Victoria, GRV is looking to team up with Racing.com, which is owned by Racing Victoria and currently broadcasts free-to-air Victorian and South Australian thoroughbred racing.

It has been said that Sky has threatened to relegate one racing body's products from the premier Sky 1 channel to Sky 2 should the racing authorities not give the company rights to all of their content, including and international broadcasts.
