2015 Group 2 Laurels heats – free tips and betting preview
EIGHT heats of the Group 2 Laurels Classic (515 metres) will be run and won at Sandown Park on Sunday afternoon featuring some of the hottest young bitches in work.
The favourite to take out the $50,000-to-the-winner final, which will be held on December 17, is the Angela Galea- trained It's All Talk ($5.50 with Bet365) which comes into the series with five wins from as many starts.
It's All Talk will go around in the final heat from box one at 5:46pm AEDT.
Also right in contention is Fantastic Skye which is rated a $6 shot with the all-in market. Trained by Kel Greenough, the blue bitch is a member of the stellar Goodesy x Light Fantastic litter which also includes track record holders Fantastic Dotty and Fantastic Tail.
Polijuice Potion and Keune both share the $7.50 quote to win the final, with Utopia and She's A Looper the only other contenders under double figure odds at $9 a piece.
The first heat of the Group 2 Laurels Classic will jump at 2:36pm AEDT, lets check out the main chances for each qualifier with tips and comments from Australian Racing Greyhound‘s form analyst, Brad Bugeja.

Skate Thin Ice ($3 with Bet365) is a serious NSW chaser and she comes here in dazzling form. Three runs back she posted a sizzling 29.82 Dapto win and she followed that effort up with two eye catching placings. She is having her first look at the track but if she can get through the first turn unscathed, she should take a power of beating.
Integrity Sal ($3) is a well bred type and she is showing plenty of promise. Two starts back she posted a solid 29.73 win here and if she can repeat that performance, she won't be too far away.
Lyka Allen ($8.50) continues to show improvement and she has the speed to lead this race, her last 40m is a concern but she will give them something to catch.
Kalimna ($4) has only had the two starts but she did post a strong 29.84 debut win here in October and she will continue to get better.
Top Four: 2 – 8 – 7 – 1
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

Fantastic Skye ($1.70) is another NSW chaser and she has had the benefit of two runs here in recent weeks. On both occasions she fired to the early lead and victory was never in doubt. This race lacks quite a bit of depth, so with another clean getaway she should be able to lead from go to whoa quite easily.
Aston Force ($11) is well drawn in the pink and she should get a nice cart across from the seven in the initial stages. She has been placed in two of her three tries here and she is quite strong in the run home, with some luck she should fill the quinella spot.
Kasreyn ($6.50) is bred to be a star and she is unbeaten in her two career starts. Both wins were at Shepparton in good times and on each occasion she powered to the line, so the extra distance should suit.
Daisy Bale ($7) can show early speed and if she holds them out early she can run a place.
Top Four: 7 – 8 – 4 – 2
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

She's A Looper ($2.45 with Bet365) is an exciting SA chaser and if she brings her Angle Park form to Melbourne she will be a major player in this series. Two starts back she speared the lids and led all the way when scoring at Angle Park in a breathtaking 29.41. That sort of run would see her get down to the 29.30 mark here and that would see her score.
Utopia ($2.45) is still learning but she has shown good early speed in her career to date and she should run a cheeky race. If she crosses the three early she can win the race but if she doesn't, place claims appear best.
Panda Bale ($6.50) is the interesting runner, she is much better than her form reads and she has been racing over the longer journey of late. She will get back early but if she can hook to the outside and build up some momentum she might be able to cause an upset.
Iyliss Bale ($6.50) is rising in class but she does have early speed and she could give a sight at odds.
Top Four: 3 – 2 – 4 – 8
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

Keune ($1.90) is a classy Tasmanian chaser and she has racked up an impressive 16 wins from 24 career starts. She is blessed with smart early speed but she is also very strong at the end of her races. This race doesn't appear to be very strong and if she handles the track she should win quite easily.
Eily West ($6) is normally a reliable beginner and she should be able to cross the one and two in the early stages. Her last 50m isn't great but if she does lead she should hang on for a place.
Zipping Zali ($16) showed a lot of improvement with her slick 30.54 Traralgon win last time and she will continue to get better with more racing. She will need some luck in the initial stages but if she gets it she could cause an upset.
Kirabilli Myrtle ($8) looks a little out of her depth but she does have the good draw and she must be included in your exotic bets.
Top Four: 4 – 3 – 2 – 1
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

Polijuice Potion ($2 with Bet365) is racing in career best form and she appears to be going from strength to strength. Last time out she pounced on the early lead and she reeled off great sectionals before breaking the 34 second barrier here over the 595m journey. She should fire to the early lead and score quite easily today and she is my early tip for the Final.
Catch Fire ($4) is a member of a promising litter and she has scored three very fast wins in her brief career. This is clearly a big step up in class but she has good speed and it looks like she will have no trouble covering the extra distance.
Penelopes Cruzn ($7.50) is well drawn out wide and four runs back she did record a brilliant placing at The Meadows. If she happens to cross early she has enough talent to cause an upset.
Wise Maple ($5.50) is the only other real chance, she has early speed so she should be in the mix for most of the trip.
Top Four: 2 – 8 – 4 – 3
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

Ima Misha Doll ($3.40) can be a little hard to follow but she does have good early speed and she has been racing in good company for a long time. There isn't a lot of speed drawn around her, so if she comes out cleanly, she should drive to the early lead and she will be running around the 29.55 mark and that is probably good enough to score.
Miss Stylist ($3.65) is a classy Tasmanian chaser and three starts back she did record a sizzling 26.07 Hobart win. She is having her first look at the track which is a concern but this isn't an overly strong race so she won't have to be at her absolute best.
Fairy Pretty ($5) is highly talented on her night and if she can avoid crowding early, she will run a cheeky race at odds. She has been placed in two of three here and she can run time when given a clear passage.
Aston Shiraz ($7) rounds out the chances, she will get back early on but if she can find the rail she will make a strong move and she can sneak home into the placings.
Top Four: 3 – 4 – 2 – 5
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

Tactical Miss ($4.20) is armed with blinding early speed and although the last 50m is a big concern, I think she can get the job done. She has won four on the trot and her latest victory was at Warragul in a sizzling 22.56. She will have a big lead mid race and she will get tired in the run home but I think she should have enough in the tank to hold on.
Mepunga Fame ($5) caught the eye with an impressive 25.46 debut win at Ballarat and if she comes out cleanly she should test the three.
Daliya Bale ($4.20) continues to improve and she beat a smart field at The Meadows last time in 30.07. If she gains a clear passage in the initial stages, she will be right there as they approach the winning post.
Star Torana ($4.20) rounds out the hopes, she comes here with strong NSW credentials and she is suited by the wider draw.
Top Four: 3 – 6 – 4 – 8
1st: $6,260 2nd: $1,790 3rd: $890.

My Regina ($4.50 with Bet365) has won six of her 10 starts to date and after starting her career over the 390m journey, she has worked up nicely to this distance range and she is hitting the line well. I'm expecting the red to lead them up and she should be able to follow it through at the first corner and with a clear passage she should prove far too strong in the run home.
It's All Talk ($1.60) comes here after winning five from five at Healesville and the times have been highly impressive. She should lead for a long way today but I think she will fold up late and place claims appear to be best.
Peggy Dooley ($12) has been racing in consistent style and she should settle near the speed, her last 30m isn't great but she should be able to hang on for some minor money.
Sweet Barbados ($4.50) is a classy type when on song but she has been struggling in recent weeks, if she can reproduce her best form she can cause an upset.
Top Four: 2 – 3 – 1 – 4
