2016 Group 2 Ipswich Auction series final: free tips & preview

VEGAS Bound is the greyhound to beat in Saturday’s Auction series final after two dominant performances in her heat and semi-final.

Rated a $2.50 shot with online bookmaker Bet365.com.au, the daughter of Head Bound and Tina’s Show has drawn box three in the decider, an alley from which she has two wins and two placings from four appearances.

Trained by Tony Apap, Vegas Bound holds a personal best of 30.35 over the track and trip which was recorded in her stunning last to first semi-final victory last weekend where she defeated Legacy Chief by a widening three and three quarter lengths on the line.

Also right in contention is Magical Yessam (box six) for Donald Massey which also comes into the final having won both his heat and semi in impressive fashion.

The son of and Kiewa Show has the strong record of 13 wins and nine minor placings from 31 career starts, with three from four over the Ipswich 520m distance and a fast 30.42 PB.

Just one other runner is under the double figure quote, that being Royal Prize from box seven. The 34 kilogram speedster is known for his great early toe and is expected to be out in front in the initial stages.

In both his runs throughout the series he has tires in the run to the line, finishing second in his heat and third in his semi-final. However, bookmakers recognise that it is better to be out in front on the bunny, installing him on the third line of betting at $5.50.
