Race 7: Gun Mcbain
Gun Mcbain is a reliable beginner and with a keen railer underneath and wide runner on his outside he should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first turn.
He has won three on the trot here in impressive fashion and he just continues to do everything right.
At the $2.20 mark with William Hill he looks a solid investment and he should be a good anchor in your multiples.
Race 3: Mullaway
You can currently get around $5.50 fixed with William Hill for this chaser and that is enormous overs. He meets a couple of handy ones in this event but there is very little early speed engaged and the favourite is drawn poorly in the red.
I’m expecting the red to find a lot of bother early and she is likely to give Mullaway too big of a head start.
Race 4: Ninety Five
She has been racing in consistent fashion of late and she should get every chance to salute at nice odds tonight.
There is very little early speed engaged in this event, so I’m expecting her to roll to the early lead and she is a very hard chaser to get past when on the lure.
She will have a flat spot mid race but she does come again in the run home and she won’t find an easier assignment in town.
Race 9: 1 to rove with 5,6,7 ($3 for 100%)
Blue Scorpion has turned in two terrific performances in recent weeks resulting in a slick win and a close placing behind Whata Nice Size. From the red he should be able to hold them out early and a top two finish is on the cards.
Mal Rose Hi, This Time Reba and No Callaratah are all run on types and if they can gain a clear passage mid race they should be able to finish strongly and take home some minor money.
