Greyhound Betting Tips For Friday 13th September 2013
It's a huge night of racing at Dapto, with the running of the Group 1 Dapto Megastar.
Glen Gallon, Zulu Zeus, and Proven Nitro headline a field of superstars for the running of the newest Group 1.
Ipswich Greyhounds Race 5 Box 3 Hanson Houdini 5.07pm
This bloke hails from a pretty good litter by Cosmic Rumble out of Hanson Charm.
He got a run as the second reserve on Wednesday arvo, but ran into a super star in the making in Made For Ron. He finished third in that race but performed very well.
His competition today is far less than he had to race on Wednesday and he should spear the lids and lead all the way here without trouble. He's already run a solid 30.91 here and has a fast first sectional to his name. It's not a hard race and he should carve out quick sectionals and just win.
Great win bet.
Casino Greyhounds Race 8 Box 7 Mega Rose Hi 2.42pm
Tough race but I do like a couple of runners in this- the consistent Mega Rose Hi, Ella Jacqui and Blue Canoe. Mega Rose Hi has been getting home hard over the 484 and the step back up to the staying trip looks perfect. Box 7 is no concern and she can spear the lids and lead all the way. Blue Canoe has been trialling far better than his form suggests and with luck in running he can certainly win. The Wayne Crick trained Ella Jacqui has quite a motor but needs luck and is slow early. I don't believe she has trialled on the track and that makes the job of winning hard.
Mega Rose Hi is the local with local experience and I'd be sticking with her.
Dapto Greyhounds Race 8 Box 1 Proven Nitro 9.40pm
I'm going to back the box here and go with Proven Nitro. Boxes win races and are an enormous advantage when contesting group races. The super classy Proven Nitro has the rail here in this and he will no doubt make the most of it.
I get the feeling the dog that leads will win, as most of the runners have big motors. As the lids fly open Proven Nitro should hold the lead with the flying Zulu Zeus burning down the outside. By the time Zulu Zeus gets across, Proven Nitro may skip away here and make the task of running him down super tough.
Both dogs have a huge motor and both are capable of breaking the record. I doubt the winner will come from outside them two, so I'm sticking with Proven Nitro.
Great race and it will be one not to miss.
Best of Luck
