Its a huge card of racing tonight, with some cracking heats of the SA Derby at Angle Park; and then later on we see the final of the SA Oaks with the champ Xylia Allen engaged. Dapto has the final of the rich Maiden series and what a super race that will be. There's also a cracking 600m race at Albion Park with Metz Magic, Starliner and the booming finisher Tweed Bah Day. All in all a huge night of racing with the countrys best engaged.
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 4 Box 3 Cecil Henry 7.41pm
Cecil Henry will be looking to bounce back here after a dissapointing run last start. Generally speaking he flys the lids, and carve out brilliant sectionals. He needs to begin tonight if he is to have any chance of winning this, but with slow beginners all around he should have no trouble bouncing straight to the front. He's had a little freshen up and he does seem to go better after a let up. There's not really a great deal of danger here, but boxes 6,7 both have motors but will both need to ping and get up into the leading division from the get go. Dulcie Dee does look to be quite talented and Id be keeping a close eye on her in the future. Cecil Henry should lead and should be to quick for them here hes a great bet and fixed price will be on offer by one of our many sponsors – Iasbet, Sportingbet, Sportsbet and Luxbet.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 4 Tomac Bale 9.22pm
We all know how good Tomac Bale is,and I think tonight is the night we see this fellow shine. He will be perfectly suited to Angle Park and if he begins hes capable of running 29.30. There's a couple of good young dogs engaged but this fellow should start even
money and at that price he looks tonight best bet. He has a huge motor if he's able to lead and dictate running on the bunny; this will be an absolute walk in the park. It's just a shame he hasn't come up against harder opposition to increase his starting price. Behind Tomac Bale its quite hard to find the placings and it appears as if all runners have an equal chance. Tomac Bale to win and win well.
Dapto Greyhounds Race 9 Box 3 Greek Drama 10.20pm
I'm going to give this fellow one more chance here from the inside box. He's not a bad animal and I feel once he does win one, he'll go on to win a couple. He has the speed to bounce out and lead in this, and I think that will make the difference
to his form. His time of 30.72 is only fair but he should be able to get down around the 30.45 mark with a quick beginning and clear running. My only concern is he's starting to turn into a serial placegetter, and at times has had his chance to win one. The biggest danger looks to be the perfectly boxed Speedy Marlow, and he too should spear the lids and take running down. At around $6.00 Greek Drama looks a great eachway bet.
Hobart Greyhounds Race 3 Box 5 Li Li 7.58pm
Li Li is the sister to champion stayer Bell Haven and looking at her previous few starts, she looks as if she's ready for the step up to 700m racing. It's not a hard race and Happy Tiger is the one to beat on exposed form but I'm not so sure he's 100 percent ready for 700. For that reason I'm going to go with Li Li. She should be able to lead here and that will make all the difference here in this. In her last start at Launceston she got home really hard, against Holyheath who is quite a strong runner and has won over the 700. So based on that form line Li Li looks as if she get her chance here tonight to win. Win only as I think she'll be short.
Sandown Greyhouns Race 6 Box 2 SuperSonic Hawk 8.52pm
Very tough race and I'm hoping we find value in backing Supersonic Hawk. He's not the strongest runner but he has plenty of speed and he might be able to get the fly here and skip away. He has run a quick 34.41 here just a mere length and a half slower then the very talented but slow early runner Dyna Oats. Box 2 will make the difference here in this and all that's needed for Supersonic Hawk to win, is a good jump and a clear run and he may just pinch this a good odds. Dyna Oats is the only danger, but box 1 runner Stetson Donna does need to play her part. She needs to get out fast and drag Dyna Oats in to the race. If she begins slowly and hampers him early the two runners might find themselves back in the pack and fighting for room to move. Based on that Supersonic Hawk looks the one.
