Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 28th March 2013
Yesterday's Results: Tayla Marie – Winner $1.50, Cascades – Second, Cross Cut – Third, Dimple Way – Winner $3.60, Tomato Catch Up – Unplaced.
Another day of mixed results. Dimple Way was out best result at $3.60. Cross Cut started at great odds of $7.00 and was unlucky to have not gone very close to winning. He was chopped out when making a run with the eventual winner.
Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 3 Box 1 Afra Lorian 7.25pm QLD time
We tipped this girl recently, but she failed to fire from box 7 and went dismal. She has drawn box 1 here tonight, and meets a much easier line up. It's a poor quality field and probably one of the poorest Thursday night meetings assembled in a long time. Where have all the good dogs gone? She should have no trouble disposing of this lot. She has terrific early speed and should easily lead this field. She has failed to win one here at headquarters in 11 starts, but gets her best chance tonight. Two starts ago she posted a flying 30.55 at Ipswich, and she only needs to repeat that run here to win. The rest of the field are quite an even bunch, and it appears quite hard, to sort them out behind Afra Lorian. No excuses tonight Afra Lorian has drawn the box, race and is in good form. She should be winning.
Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Rocket To Excel, 8.55pm Vic time
Rocket To Excel, has been all around the mark of late, and has drawn perfectly here tonight in box 1. He has a fast PB of 29.92 and can get out of a box. He has good early toe, and I give him a huge chance in this tonight. He should comfortably lead the inside division, and will only have to contend with the very talented Red Tin. If Red Tin happens to make a mistake, it's all Rocket To Excel needs to race away with this. In his last couple of starts he's shown signs of weakening in the run home, but he is far from weak and could be just racing a little upside down. He should start around $4.00 and he looks a great Each Way bet in this.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 3 Camouflage Model, 9.49pm NSW time
I've been eagerly awaiting the step up in distance for this girl, and tonight is that night. She has been going exceptionally well and looks very well suited in this tonight. Her form is fantastic, and she has been around the money in nearly every start. She has good early toe and will have no trouble running out the longer trip. She should lead, and if she continues her run of great form, she should belt these. She Will have to best herself in this, to get beat. BEST BET
Hobart Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 3 Battek Boss, 10.13pm Vic time
Battek Boss is about the best bet we can find here at Hobart tonight. The son of Aston Galilee has an imposing record of 9 starts for 2 wins and 5 placings. He's young, strong and in pretty fair form, and only needs a safe start to win here. Night Train could be the value runner in this and he could be worth a nice place bet here.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 8 Born On Lava, 8.28pm Vic time
Last weeks selection Born On Lava is once again our on tip pick. She was far from disgraced last week and it took a flying Tweed Bah Day to knock her off. She goes from box 1 to box 8, this week but she has enough early toe to offset the box. I have no doubt she will make a great 600 dog, and although this is a very tough race, she looks a great each way bet.
Best Of Luck
