Greyhound Betting Tips For Tuesday 19th March 2013

Yesterdays Results: Crescent Andy – Unplaced, Totally Tango – Winner $2.40, Dawn Knows Best – Second, Paper Trail – Third, Stylish Lizbeth – Winner $4.70.

Mixed results yesterday with the bitch, Stylish Lizbeth our best result. She began brilliantly and raced right away from the odds on favourite winning by about 4 lengths. Paper trail at was a certainty beat. She found dead end after dead end when making a winning run. Will win next start. Crescent Andy was very disappointing, and we may need some winning form before we select him again. Totally Tango was brilliant, she battled hard with Dyna Dania, before drawing away in the run to post a fast 35.20 run. Dawn Knows Best was just beaten by a better dog on the night. She had to work really hard to get around Durbridge and in the end was beaten by him by a neck.

Onto today and hopefully we can find a couple more good things for you to put your hard earned on. We manage to find a roughie now and again, and lets hope another pops up soon.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Cosmico, 5.07 pm QLD time

There's plenty of winners today at , but very few of any value. The heats of the Auction series are being run and there are some stadium types engaged. I'm hoping Cosmico, is the best value for the day. I know this bloke can really gallop but he is extremely moody and needs it his own way. We have tipped him once to you guys and he won well, ut we are yet to see the best of this bloke. From the red box he will get his chance here today. He's a good beginner and only needs to hold out Celtic Diva around the first turn. She is no slouch and has already posted a flying 30.33 here. If she repeats that there's no way they will get near her, but she won't have it all her own way. I'm hoping Cosmico can hold her out early, and if he can he may be to good here. Each way, if the odds are ok.

Gawler Greyhounds, Race 9 Box 4 Aston Carmelita, 3.12 pm Nsw time

From the moment I saw this bitch run 30.25 around Ipswich in the series I was super impressed. She was beaten as favourite in the final, returned to Victoria and won a couple, then headed of to South Australia. She performed very well in S.A, but has never recaptured that flying for that saw her post a near record at Ipswich as a maiden. This is a tough race today but she's well overdue for a win. Box 4 will suit her and she only needs to begin here. On her old form, she's easily the quickest in this field, so she only needs to find the front or position up early to be too good here. Each way.

Devonport Greyhonds, Race 8 Box 7 Highway Too. 3.04 pm Vic time

This bloke has been going great guns. He really is flying for trainer Nicole Howard. He's well drawn on the outside and generally begins quite well. He has a best time of 26.01 but he certainly can go quicker than that. I expect him to win today and get around the 25.75 mark. I'm not too sure about the price – he may be favourite, he may not be. But one things for sure he's going to be right in this. BEST BET OF THE DAY

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 3 Bogan Girl, 9.05 pm Nsw Time

You may think I'm crazy here, tipping against Starliner, a dog who I have a huge wrap on, and was apart of the negotiations to try buy him. But he's been up for a long time, I know he had a little break, but I'm thinking a spell may be of need. There's no doubt if 100% right he will flog these. He's boxed well and has every thing in his . But I'm going against him here, and going with the Patrick Lavis trained Bogan Girl. She's a very quick bitch who was a certainty when winning last start. She's the only danger to the fav, and if he makes a mistake or finds trouble, look for her to be going past the post first here.

Gosford Greyhounds, Race 2 Box 6 My Signature, 7.20 pm Nsw time

This bloke is a tip courtesy of our own Kevin Pitstock. Kev may not like him to win this particular race, but he was of high praise of his last start performance. He was looming up to race right away with the race at last start, before being stopped in his tracks. However he balanced up again and raced right away to win. It was an impressive victory. He only needs to repeat that performance in this to be way too good here. Very quick dog, and he may have a big future ahead.

Warragul, Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 8 Fremont Street, 8.09 pm Vic time

Very tough race here, with many winning chances. I've with Freemont Street, but also give a huge chance to Warm It Up. Fremont Street is a very fast dog, who has been very consistent of late. It's hard to say why he will win as you can make a case for just about every runner, but he will get a clear passage from the outside box and is in very good consistent form. He can run the time it takes to win this, and looks a great chance.

Well there's a few nice selections today with plenty of variety on the cards. We are going to also have a go at the Quaddie, at Ipswich and hopefully pick it. Trainer Geoff Draheim, will provide two of our legs. So he looks like having a great day.

Ipswich Quaddie Tips

  • First Leg: Auriga Legend.
  • Second Leg: Auriga Doll.
  • Third Leg: Regal Lauyrn.
  • Final Leg: Cosmico, or Celtic Diva.

Don't expect it to pay much maybe $10 but it's only a small outlay of $2.00 for 100% of the dividend. So it might pay to have it a few times.

We should see most of the favourites win today at Ipswich, but there is also a chance, a few of the first starters might pop their heads in against the more experienced campaigners. The auction series is always a great series to earn a nice quid from. The action kicks off at Ipswich today with the first race at 3.07 pm Qld time.

Best of Luck.
