AUSTRALIAN Racing Greyhound‘s Brad Bugeja had a good day on the punt yesterday, with his best bet, Ludwig Bale, saluting at a massive $8.10. The form continued on throughout the day with his best roughie, Pass Of Time, running a terrific third at Shepparton.
Once again Brad has been studying the form and he has another lot of best bets for today, featuring meetings from all over the country.
Race 8: Van Carrho Flash
Van Carrho Flash is drawn to get the run of the race and he should improve on his steady effort here last week. From the red he should be able to hold the early lead and he is a different chaser when he lands on the lure. He should be around the $2.50 mark with William Hill and that is good value.
He meets a couple of handy ones here but he is well placed in the pink draw and he should be suited to this distance range. He showed improvement with a strong 500-metres Bendigo placing last time and with a clear run he could go one better at nice odds.
Race 7: Texan Star
He is much better than his form indicates and with a clean getaway he would have the speed to lead this field for a long way. Two starts back he recorded a top Sale placing over 650-metres and if he can turn in a similar effort here he will take some catching. He will be around the $6 to $8 mark with William Hill and that would be a great each way bet.
Race 8: 4 to rove with 2,3,7
Lotus Blossom has the class edge and with an even getaway she should be able to lead all the way. The two and three both have early speed and they should settle just behind her, whilst Snowball Bob is well drawn out wide and he will be charging home at the end. He could add some value to the quinella dividend.
Race 8: 4/5,6,7/Field ($18 for 100%)
Leg 1: 5,7,8 – Leg 2: 1,2,5,7,8 – Leg 3: 1,2,3,6,8 – Leg 4: 3,4
$150 for 100%
