In the eighth race at Gawler yesterday afternoon, Van Carrho Flash proved to classy for its opposition, scoring at a juicy $3.90 with William Hill.
Up in Queensland, our quinella also saluted when Lotus Blossum defeated Pearls Angel, that divi paying a respectable $4.20.
Onto another set of race meetings and we have some more cracking tips to help you get through hump day, courtesy of our resident tipster, Brad Bugeja.
Race 5: Country Bullet
Country Bullet is a lid pinger and from the red draw he should get every chance to score. He should be able to find the early lead and there is an even spread of speed in the middle, so I’m expecting there to be a little bit of shuffling and that will allow him to dash away mid race. He will be around the $2.50 mark with William Hill and that appears to be a great bet.
Race 2: White Bandit with William Hill
All Courage is expected to start at a short price and he will take some catching, but White Bandit looks ideally placed in the pink draw and he should get a nice cart across from the seven in the early stages. He should be each way odds and he is worth an investment.
Race 8: Qualia To Excel
He is much better than his form reads and he is suited to this journey. He has been taking on much stronger company of late and he has had no luck in running at all. If he can step away cleanly he should be able to balance up in a prominent position early and he will take some stopping.
Race 8: 1 to rove with 3,6,8 ($3 for 100%)
Alhanna is drawn to hold the early lead and she should give a great sight, this is a fairly weak event so I can’t see her missing a top two finish.
Blue Whirl can show early speed in his races and if he lands behind the red he could add some value to the quinella, whilst Sandave Gem and Set The Scene are to classy chasers and if they get some luck in running they shouldn’t be too far away.
Race 7: 5/4,6,8/1,3,4,6,8 ($12 for 100%)
Leg 1: 2,3,6,7 – Leg 2: 3,4,7 – Leg 3: 1 – Leg 4: 1,2,3,6,7,8
$72 for 100%
