Flywheel Alfie turned in a terrific performance when placed here two runs back and if he can turn in a similar effort tonight he will prove hard to beat. From the red draw he should be able to hold a forward spot early and he will be very strong in the run to the line. This isn’t an overly strong race so if you can get around the $3.50 mark with William Hill that is a great bet.

Get Up Dinozzo has a heap of talent and if he gets room to muster speed he will take some stopping. The draw is a big concern but he has scored some brilliant wins in recent weeks and he appears to be a real up and comer.

Conspiracy should be suited to the wide draw and he is blessed with sizzling early speed. From the pink he should get plenty of time to balance up and if he crosses he may be off and gone off the back straight.

Vapour Lee is the interesting runner. He has been sparingly raced of late but he does have enormous talent and if he is fully wound up he can make a big impact, however he is likely to be under the odds.

Aqua Vitae is currently flying and if she pings the lids like she has been she will take a power of beating. Two starts back she flew around in 30.23 and she followed that effort up with a devastating 29.37 win here. With an ounce of luck she should be winning quite easily, she could be a good anchor in your multiples.

Connor’s Rocket has been racing consistently in recent weeks and he is a must for your exotic bets. He is having his first try here over this journey but he has raced well at The Meadows in recent weeks over a similar trip.

Bambi Boucheau has the good draw and she will be in the mix for a long way. Three starts back she led from go to whoa in a 34.33 over this trip and she held off the very strong Pride Of Egypt in that race.

Mi Diablo and Mademoiselle Sox round out the chances, both are poorly drawn out wide but they both have talent and with some luck mid race they could sneak into the placings.

Dyna Nico is a very reliable beginner and she should have no trouble crossing this field in the run to the first bend. She has been placed in four of her past five starts and one of those placings was a narrowly beaten second here to the classy Angie Rocks. She does her best racing when she can dictate the terms out in front and if she finds the top tonight I can’t see them reeling her in.

Elfen Bale is in great form at present and she was far from disgraced when beaten by last time. She can be a little risky at box rise but if she lands behind the pink she should be right in this mix as they reach the winning post.

Unix Bale is better known as a stayer these days but she has the good draw and she will be powering to the line late. From the red she might settle a little closer than normal and she could add some value to your exotic bets.

Oakvale Flyer has a great record here and she returned to form with a strong 595-metres placing here last time, she is better suited back to this journey and she must be respected.

Ikaku Bale hasn’t been at his best for a little while but he did show great signs when placed here last week over this journey. He hit the line quite well in that event and I think from the inside draw tonight he could just about lead. If he does find the top early he should prove very hard to get past.

Decanus is another chaser who has a heap of talent but he can be a little hard to follow at times. He is likely to get well back in the early stages but he does find the line quite strongly and if he gains a clear passage in running he will take some stopping. He could be the value in the event.

Dynamic Punch is never far away in races like this and he should give a great sight at nice odds, the last 30-metres is a bit of a struggle but if he gets away mid race he could steal the event.

Tekki Minx has been placed in nine of ten over this trip and she must be included in your exotic bets.

8COSMIC VEE BEE (NSW)[5]7112542.04(2)R Britton (Lara)

Love Affair has been taking on much stronger company of late and she was far from disgraced when placed in the 1 Sandown Cup Final last week. She is yet to open her winning account here but she has been placed in seven of 11 over this trip and with some luck in running she should prove too strong for her rivals. She is going to be fairly well fancied but she is one of the only true genuine stayers in the race and she looks a solid bet.

Shanlyn Lucy powered to the line on Sunday to score here in 42.14 and from the red again she must be respected. She is capable of showing early speed in her races and if she balances up in the top four she will prove very hard to hold out.

Zipping Geoff is slowly returning to the form which saw him string together some top Wentworth Park wins over 720-metres in February/March, he is poorly drawn again but if he can avoid bother he should be able to make an impact.

Esparza is making her staying debut and she must be respected, whilst Cosmic Vee Bee is well drawn out wide and she must be included in your quaddies if you’re going wide in the first leg.

Lamia Bale is the ultimate professional and it really is hard to tip against her. Last week she turned in the performance of her career when narrowly beaten by superstar chaser Fernando Bale. The draw is against her again tonight but if she comes out like she has been in recent weeks she should pounce on the early lead and that will be the end of the section.

Diva’s Shadow should be able to follow Lamia Bale across in the early stages and she should take it right up to the favourite for most of the journey. She is quite strong in the run home but if she can’t cross Lamia Bale in the initial stages she might have to be content with the quinella spot.

Kiltah Magic is a brilliant type at her best and she can run time when given a clear run, my concern with her is that she doesn’t have the early dash to go with the six and seven early but if she settles close enough she could run over the top in the closing stages.

Ima Fairytale is the only other winning prospect, she has a great record here and if she happens to find the rail in the early stages she could cause an upset.

Weblec Rose is much better than her recent form suggests and if she can ping the lids tonight she will prove very hard to run down. She has been missing the kick of late and finding trouble soon after the start, tonight she has average beginners drawn on either side and therefore she should be given sufficient room to muster speed in the early stages.

Angie Rocks is the clear and obvious danger, she is blessed with a ridiculous amount of talent and she only needs an ounce of luck in running to score. Last time out she roared to the line and only went down narrowly to the in form Lamia Bale, a repeat performance will see her fight out the finish once again.

Cosmic Wise is all class on her night and she will be getting to the line strongly, she was a strong 29.68 winner here three runs back and last time out she charged home to score over the 595-metres trip here. She is extremely versatile and if the inside division bunch up she should be there to capitalise.

Sisco Rage was a little costly here last week when runner up from the red draw, tonight he exits the same pin but I think he can go one better. I’m expecting him to step a little better and if he does he should be able to just about hold the early lead or at worst settle in second spot. He is extremely strong in the run to the line and he should prove too good in the run to the line.

Lektra Outlaw can ping the lids on occasions and he has the speed to cross the inside division. He is much better than his form reads and he could be the value in the event.

Mepunga Armagh beat Sisco Rage here last week and a similar lineup overall and he must be respected again, the only concern tonight is that he is drawn out a little further and there is a little more speed underneath him.

Lochinvar Impact should get the run of the race if the red can hold them out early. He was a top 29.43 winner here two runs back and with a clear passage he is capable of going even quicker.

Xtreme Knocka has the ability to ping the lids and he is currently racing in impressive style. Two starts back he led for a long way when placed at The Meadows over the 600-metres journey and he followed that effort up with a strong 34.65 win over the same track and trip. There is very little speed underneath tonight so he should be able to cross and find the rail soon after the start and that should be the end of the section.

Polly Bale is much better than her form reads and she could be the value in the race. The middle pin isn’t great but she has won here previously in a sizzling 34.11 and if she can regain that form she will take some catching.

Nockabout Aussie can be very hard to follow but he does have a big engine, with some luck in running he should be able to charge home and he won’t be far away at the end.

Kerrigan Bale has the speed to lead but she did fold up quickly here last week, she can maybe hold on for a place.

Bruce Tycoon is racing in great style at present and he loves racing over this track and trip. The wide draw isn’t great but there isn’t a whole lot speed in this event so with a clean getaway he might be able to get across and lead. Last time out he sizzled around Geelong in a blistering 29.66 and a similar effort tonight will see him prove hard to reel in.

Amaro Bale could be value, he has a solid record here and he has been taking on some star chasers of late. He can show smart early speed in his races and with a clean getaway he should be right in the mix.

Quasi Bale is a beast when on song and he is resuming after a month off. The inside draw would normally suit but with no speed around him I think he may get shuffled back in the early stages. He will get home hard so he still must be included in your exotics.

What’s Chewing rounds out the winning chances. He should get plenty of room to balance up in the first 50-metres and if he settles in the top three or four he should make an impact, he is likely to be under the odds though so I think he is a little bit of a risk.

Allen Gravion has been a great chaser for quite a while now and he looks set to post another metropolitan victory. From the red draw I’m expecting him to show a fair bit of dash and he should be able to hold them out at the first bend and once on the bunny he has proven in the past that he is very hard to get past.

Lektra Concord appears to be the main danger, he has won five of 13 here and he is capable of pinging the lids. If he gets across and lands on the outside of the red, it should make for an interesting battle.

Airbound is drawn to get the run of the race and he could add some value to your exotics, he doesn’t win often these days but he is always competitive in races like this.

Dyna Tiber has a big engine but he can be inconsistent, if he gains a clear passage he could upset the favourite.

Fixate is rising in class tonight but it appears that he has finally put it altogether and he is now a serious chaser. He has won three on the trot and his past two wins at have been by a whopping 12 and 14 lengths. In those two wins he has also put the time on the board and he appears ready to take on the stronger types in town.

Tambay Bale is dropping in class tonight and she should run a cheeky race. Two starts back she powered to the line when scoring at The Meadows in 30.25 and a repeat performance will see her figure prominently again.

Yaris Bale has the good draw and she has been racing consistently, if she can balance up in the top three early she shouldn’t be far away at the end.

Paranoia rounds out the winning prospects, he is very strong in the run home and he only needs some luck in running to feature.

Top Four: 6 – 3 – 1 – 2
