Greyhound Racing Tips For Monday 29th June 2009

Welcome to Australian Racing Greyhound's free Greyhound Racing Tips for Monday 29th June 2009 with Tips tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales).

With racing tonight from Cranbourne (Victoria), Wentworth Park (New South Wales), Albion Park (Queensland) and Angle Park (New South Wales), lets just review some of our betting advice for the way those tracks play.

Cranbourne races over the 311m, 520m and 699m distances. Punters should stay away from the 311m races as a short run to the first corner cause unpredictable results and leaders usually win. Box 8 is a huge advantage in these races.

The 520m distance runs more consistently and the track show a more normal distribution of the four “bookend” boxes performing best. The 699m races are run infrequently and usually contain one standout selection.

Wentworth Park went from being a very fair track to a leader biased track with the addition of “transition turns” to the corners in the mid 90's. Leaders have been advantaged ever since that track modification and consequently red are small advantage over both the 520m and 720m distances now.

Albion Park was the first track in Australia to move to the finish-on system and it is definitely the better of the two Queensland TAB tracks. A lack of depth in a lot of races can cause upsets at Albion Park when favourites are over-rated or suffer interference. Tread warily when betting on the corner start 600m races; and the 700m races will often throw up odds-on favourites that have alot of weakness about them.

Angle Park is all about leading to the first corner, class dogs will knock up winning in South Australia as their is a definite lack of depth, even at higher grades. Again be wary of betting in 600m and 700m events at Angle Park as in many cases it is just the last throw of the dice for and there are very few genuine stayers.

Cranbourne Greyhounds – Race 6 – Box 7 – Where's Womby

Impossible to go past Where's Womby in this 5th grade race, racing down in grade from a last start city win which was his 4 th win in 5 starts. Has managed a 30.03 run at Sandown and 25.24 run at amongst those wins and generally flys the boxes. Has already won from box 7 so handles a wide draw.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 1 – Teeny Tiny

Without a lot of pace drawn to her outside Teeny Tiny wil get every chance to lead throughout tonight from a favourable box 1 draw. Has been reasonably dissapointing of late since a good win 4 starts back, but should have every opportunity tonight. This is her chance tonight, if she can't win this she won't win in town.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds – Race 7 – Box 3 – Cawbourne Tuf

Last chance for Cawbourne Tuf tonight, who after a couple of disappointing runs at Wentworth Park only just went around from box 8 behind Shy Bond last week. Began poorly last week and needs to step from a favourable draw, drawn down closer to the rail. Does have ability but hasn't shown much recently and nees to go well here tonight.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 4 – Box 5 – Royston Renegade

is well down in grade on previous efforts here at Albion Park and has won 5 of 15 over this track and distance, running 5 places. Last 2 starts were below par efforts and might just go around attractive odds from box 5. Classy and best and can turn it around quickly.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 5 – Box 5 – Pop Culture

One of our favourite greyhounds on Australian Racing Greyhound who owes us nothing. Raced down in grade here last week and won with consummate ease from box 7, winning by 5.5 lengths on 30.45. That should be a nice confidence boost coming in to tonight's race and was his quickest win here so far.

Albion Park Greyhounds – Race 10 – Box 4 – Rylee's Rockin'

Rylee-s Rockin' just keeps winning and won well here last Thursday night running 30.32 which was the quickest of his 2 wins in 3 starts on the track. Has put together a good record of 8 wins and 5 placings from 15 starts and looks like a more than handy type who can offset the awkward box draw and record win number 5 in a row.
