In what was a sensational night of racing for W.A Paul Stuart led home both winners in the two Group 1’s, collecting just over $220000 in prize money.
Miata was once again simply breathtaking spearing straight out and racing away to win by a huge margin in the Group 1 Galaxy and collecting the $80000 first prize. Then 3 races later after Paul Stuart gave little hope to Dyna Nalin.
He did what Paul thought was impossible against such fantastic opposition and upset the hot field winning the Group 1 Perth cup. Coming from behind to run over the top of early leader Grigoreava Bale and collecting $140000 in prize money.
In praise of his Group 1 winner, Paul also stated that Dyna Nalin is running just about the same run home times as Miata was at the same stage. And is sure Dyna Nalin is a stayer of the future.
Could we see Dyna Nalin win the Galaxy this time next year?
Paul also won with his other runner Military Power. Giving Paul 3 from 3 for the night. Vocal Enforcer was also sensational for the Sandgropers, and the local champ fought tooth and nail al the way to the line with Tremlett to just salute by a nose, to win the 2nd of the Perth cup consolations.
Albion Park Greyhounds. Race 10 Box 2 Hanify’s Luck. 7.54pm Qld time
Hanify’s Luck looks a super chance in the last event here tonight at The Creek. Put in a great run last start and looked to be quite unlucky after finding trouble early. Meets a ordinary field and won’t get a better change to knock up another win. The danger looks to be the very talented Arlandria who had a short stint with Jason Thompson in Vic a little while ago. Has gone off the boil lately but with his best jump can certainly cross and race away with this. There doesn’t appear to be alot of pace around Hanify’s Luck and if he can navigate his way around the first turn early, he looks a great chance to win this. Finished on with gusto last start and should certainly do the same here tonight.
Strathalbyn Greyhounds. Race 7 Box 2 Antoni Bale. 7.46pm Vic time
It wasn’t all that long ago that Antoni Bale was going around in top grade races at Angle Park as favourite. But had lost all form and is really struggling to win a race. But tonight looks easily his best chance in a very long time. Has recorded 2 wins for 3 stars here. And is drawn alongside a slow beginner. His last run at Angle Park was promising and I thing he’s working back to his best. Only needs to find clear room early and he should. Looks to be way too classy for these. Whether he wins or looses tonight I have no doubt he’s working up to a another Win very shortly. Won’t get a better chance then here, to get it. Ba Ba Boom looks the danger and he was once trained in Vic by G. Bate, so he had talent but is slow early and won’t be able to make up the ground on the Bale Dog.
Sandown Greyhounds. Race 7. Box 1 Zac Bale. 4.09pm Vic time
I had a great collect on Zac Bale Thursday night after he went really well from box 5. After beginning ok then showing great pace to race right around them early and speed away. Paid great at top tote odds of $9.50. Only needs to repeat that same run here today 3 days later, to beat much easier opposition. Should handle the inside but may want to get off a little around the first turn however he should be able to lead early and this will allow him to get off on the first turn a bit. If he handles the box he should just win!!!
Sandown Greyhounds Race 10 Box 2 Raucous 5.14pm Vic time
I’ve followed this bloke from the get go and he’s been a pretty handy dog. Never really put it together at Albion Park, although he had shown some nice form in his races. And looked like winning a few. But bad boxes and quality opposition saw him underperform. But since going to Victoria he really seems to have found his feet. Recorded at great win 3 back at Sandown in good time at great odds, and looks well placed in this further event tonight. I’m only tipping him in this is, as I believe he has a fair few wins in him and today looks a great chance from the 2. One to keep an eye on in the right grade. Eachway Bet.
