The classy Allen Jens has been racing over unsuitable journey's of late and now that he is back to his favourite distance range he should return to form. He has been missing the kick of late but from the red draw he should be able to punch through and lead early and from there on it should be a matter of times and margins.

Arena Allen is the obvious danger, she should get a perfect sit behind him in the early stages and she will apply some pressure mid race. I don't think she can get past him but she will test him for most of the journey. Morson Senor is highly promising and he can run a cheeky race, whilst Inventor is a huge talent and he can make an impact with some luck early.

Shakedown has been a little disappointing of late but he is returning to his favourite journey. He has won five of ten over this trip and is 22.96 PB would easily get the job done here. He hasn't been beginning too well of late but he has an uncanny knack of pinging the lids over this journey. He is likely to start around the $2.40 mark but that is massive odds in this company.

Beaver's Joy is the logical quinella hope, he returned to the winners list with a speedy 23.23 win here last time and he is very reliable at box rise. His record of 11 wins from 42 here speaks for itself and it really does look to be a safe quinella. Bralyn Bop Bop has done little in his two runs from a lengthy spell and he may be ready to produce his best.
