Greyhound tips and selections for Sunday 20th August 2017
JUST the two best bets yesterday, with one winning very well and the other not reaching our strike price. That produced a 100% strike rate and another positive profit on turnover result.
Bon Knocka (Don’t Knocka Him x That’s Emma Lee Dec ’14) looked very good winning at Ipswich. We didn’t really expect him to be able to take up the lead early, thinking he may have to run down whatever did lead; so it was a comfortable ride once he pounced on the front from the boxes. The price we secured was exceptional given we thought there was only two real chances in the race.
Over in WA, the race did not pan out as expected at all. We had priced Found A Diamond (Turanza Bale x Miata Oct ’14) at $2.25 and although the odds got close they never reached our price. That resulted in a nice save for us, as Found A Diamond finished second to Astrozone. The race was upset early when the likely leader Sassy Ginger did not perform as expected, meaning Found A Diamond did not get the space he needed to position close early. He did a good job to finish in to second, but Astrozone had more momentum that him in the run to the line.

Best Bet: Race 2 Box 1 Peter Galo
Peter Galo (Peter Rocket x Flossy Dec ’15) kicked off our Sunday last week with a winning performance and he is our only bet today. Has won two of three career starts all at Healesville with a best time of 19.05. Drawn box one today with a vacant box to his outside, which will help as he does like to race to the right a little and would be better drawn out wide. Not going to get a flash price about him today, and with no fixed odds up on this race at all, it is nearly impossible to predict if we can get value from this bet; but with little other options today we’ll send ours around on Peter Galo. Hoping we can get something close to $1.40 about him while we have him priced at $1.22 to win the race.
