Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 6 Hawko's Mistake. 4.57 pm Qld time
Hawko's Mistake, named after race caller, Steve Hawkins looks set to win again here today. After his blistering 30.14 run last Thursday, where he carved out two flying first sectionals. He only needs to repeat close to that effort to trounce these. Sir Hara, his main danger, is generally a slow beginner who has to work his way through the field. Hawko's Mistake should ping from out wide, and skip too far away for Sir Hara to pick him up. Great exacta, Hawko from Sir Hara.
Gawler Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 3, Kalden Torque 2.32 pm Vic time
Tough race with many chances. Going to go with Kalden Torque at big odds. He's a long striding animal who has been around the mark in harder races. I give him a great each way chance in this. He needs plenty of room but once he winds up he runs on quite well. He should get more room here today and with a little luck go his way. He looks a great each way chance.
Wentworth Park, Greyhounds Race 3, Box 1 Lightning Impact 7.58 pm Nsw time
The former Queenslander, now in the care of Mark Gatt, looks to be a huge winning chance. Has enormous speed and has run a near record in Qld. Went extremely well recently in the Bulli Gold plate, and looks set to score here. From the inside box this bloke only has to step away, to win this for mine. He's a very fast dog, with fantastic early burn, and should be winning this tonight from the rails. I love to back leaders, and if this bloke does what he can early, theirs no doubt he will hold on to win.
Geelong Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 1 Stylish Lizbeth. 7.08 pm Vic time
Extremely fast young, pup who created a stir with her flying win at Ballarat a couple of starts ago. She just looks way too good for this field. There maybe a little question mark about whether she will handle the inside. But if she does she should win this with ease. Don't take the short short odds though. $1.70 should be short enough.
Only 4 selections today, after last nights disaster. Hopefully we can round off the working week on a high, and go out winning.
