Greyhound Tips For Friday 5th July 2013

The fairytale story rung true for the QLD Champ last night, after he uncharacteristically flew the lids, and raced right away with the Winter Chase.

In the process took his career earnings to $597,000, and placing him third overall in Australia’s highest stake earners. At nearly 4 years of age the – Incoherent chaser destroyed his youger rivals, and run just half a length outside his best winning time of 29.77 set along time ago.

Plans are to now press on to the Nationals in hope he can qualify for a third successive final. Lets hope he can ; we’re all cheering him on!

It’s been a tough last few days and the wheels have started to fall off. Much like they did at one stage for German Sabine Lisicki, who tonight rallied back to win her way through to the Wimbledon Grand Slam Final. Like the mighty German who took out Stosur and world number 1 Serena Williams, we too will fight out way back to the winners circle.

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 3 Box 1 Might Be Me, 4.27pm

This blokes only a eachway chance but one on which will give us great value. He’s literally knocking down the door to win a novice having had 18starts for 12 placings. If he doesn’t win one soon, we will have to chip in and buy him, to get our money back. Box 1 will suit and he’s racing we’ll enough to salute here. He’s just going to need that added bit of luck around the first turn. Given that bit extra he’s going to prove mighty hard to stop in the run to the line. Boxes 2,4,6 appear to be the dangers if they can get forward early in front of our selection. Great each way at odds.

Grafton Greyhounds Race 10 Box 8 Oriental Bear 2.42pm

The industry blue blood, Oriental Bear looks the one to gun down here after his solid 23.15 win here last week. Box 8 will suit and he should once again be off and gone early on. Clonakilty Man appears the main danger, but he’s a slow beginner and relies heavily on luck; and over the 405 here he’ll need more then just luck. Box 8 is a great box a and ok sure Oriental Bear will use it to his advantage. It was a good win on debut, and he looks to have a solid future should he find the 500 in the future.

The Gardens Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 1 Chevy Volt 3.37pm

This girl should be winning this, and I’d forget her last couple of disappointments at . She’s far better suited over the 600 and should be very hard to beat here. She’s a pretty good beginner and is boxed around slow beginners, and this should help her lead from the start. I doubt they can run her down today if she leads. Rainbow Dash is a solid rough chance here if she can get forward early. She’s proven she but is racing poorly of late. With a great jump and some luck she could figure here.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Race 1 Box 7 Insane Bolt, 7.17pm

This blokes racing extremely well of late and has been hanging in really nicely over the 600. His last defeat came at the hands of Calm Model who run a brilliant race last night at finishing 3rd in a heat of the . He only needs to live up to that to feature in this. Box 7 will suit, but my only concern is, has he got enough early toe to get forward early? If he does then I think he’s certainly worth a good each way bet here in the opening race tonight.

Best of Luck
