Greyhound Tips For Sunday 24th February 2013

Wow what a super night of racing we witnessed last night at . There were some outstanding runs.

Firstly Miata, she did what we have come to expect of champions, find a way to win when winning looks impossible. Xylia Allen flew the lids and went like a bullet early, opening up a huge space on her rivals. But you should never right of a champ, Miata never stopped chasing and with a finishing burst she swept right past Xylia Allen in the straight to race right want and win.

Hello Goodbye, another who finally stepped up to show us what a real top liner he can develop into. He's had a kennel change and it seem to do the trick. Hello Goodbye, came away from the middle box and pushed hard to lead around the first turn and raced right away to win himself a start in next weeks final.

Cintiarna, also produced a fantastic run, never giving in,after they bucked up around the first turn. She had every right to their the towel in, after being squeezed right out. But to the bitch's credit she pushed really hard and forced her way through to also salute and book herself a spot in next week's final.

Last but not least W.A Champ Hot Irish, who lived right up to her run in last weeks , was fantastic. We managed to get $3.90 fixed price and we backed her into $2.20, and the little black chaser didn't disappoint. Her run was the best run of all for mine – maybe that's because I backed her? She had to continually overcome dead end after, dead end. Check, after check, and finally when she got clear, she turned on the after burners and took of after Allen Dion, nabbing him right in the nick of time,to just nose him out. A brilliant run and one to watch if you missed it.

Onto today's card and although we won't see the brilliance of last nights chasers on display, there's still plenty of winners to be found.

Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 3 and Box 5, Spirited Flame and Starliner. 6.25 pm Qld Time

Wow what a clash of the titans we have here over 600m. Both dogs are very fast animals and look set to gap this field. Starliner, has shown his talent, with 8 starts over the distance, for 5 wins and 3 placings, with a best time of 35.01. He's getting better and better this bloke with ever run over the longer trip he has. Each time he stepped out he posted a quicker time every run.

Spirited Flame, well I've been wrapping this bitch forever!! She was plagued with bad for such a long time and finally she drew a box and showed us how good she is. Destroying a best 8 field and stringing a few wins together. Today we see her step up to the longer journey and she will have no problems, what so ever with the added distance. Its impossible to split the pair. Maybe a slight lean towards Spirited Flame as she may be in front of Starliner early. A fantastic multiples race with first and second two cemented firmly in the the top two positions.

Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 6 Ellie's Flash. 6.46 pm Qld time

Another one who should be winning with ease. Ellie's Flash has far to much speed and class for this field. She has begun brilliantly in her both her last two starts and there's no reason why she won't do the same here again today. If she leads early, she just wins.

Sandown Park Greyhounds Race 7, Box 3 Rebelation 4.07 pm Vic time

This bloke looks set to score here. He put in a terrific effort last start in a really hard race, and with his early pace he should be winking this. The Kennel are going really well at the moment, and it's always wise to follow them when there going great. There's a couple of talented types in this race, and that should see him start at good odds. With his best jump this bloke will be in this for a long long way. Great Each Way bet.

Nowra Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 6, Foxy Fours 8.12 pm Nsw time

I've chosen a hard race to find a winner in here today at . But there only looks to be to main chances, Zipping Sooty and Foxy Fours. Zipping Mandy won really well last start but relished the outside box. No such luck here today as she drawn nearer to the rails. 2 starts back she didn't handle box 1 as well as she should have, and this inside box may bring her undone again today. For that reason I'm tipping Foxy Fours. She's only young but she has the speed to offset the box, and if she can begin well here today she should salute in this. It all boils down to Zipping Sooty, if she struggles, Foxy Fours should be the one.

Sale Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1, Dale Bale 7.50 pm Vic time

Dale Bale looks the obvious choice in this event today. He loves racing from the rails and looks like he's getting back to his best form. He began really well last start at the Meadows, and slotted right in behind the leader and stayed on really well. He should punch up and lead in this race and looks mighty hard to beat. Xenar Bale, looks the main danger, but from the middle it makes it hard for her to cross Dale Bale.

Well there you have it a couple of selections to try and build a little bank off.

Best of luck
