Leg 1 – Angle Park – Race 8: Aston Kane To Win $2
Aston Kane is a class act on his night and from the inside draw he should get every chance to hold a top three spot early and he should prove too strong in the run home. Two starts back he took control mid race and he was able to hold off the talented Coorong Kid in the run home when posting an impressive 30.01. If he can turn in a similar effort tonight, he should be able to score with considerable ease.
Leg 2 – Albion Park – Race 7: Cheeky Freyer To Place $3.10
Cheeky Freyer is a lot better than her form suggests and she showed signs that she is regaining some confidence with a handy placing here last week. Tonight she exits a more favourable draw and with a clean getaway I think she will have the speed to get across and find the top in the early stages. Her last 30m isn't the best but if she can lead, she should get away mid race and that could be enough for her to steal the race. At $3.10 for the place, she appears to be great value.
Leg 3 – Shepparton – Race 7: Tat Jocko To Place (Top Two) $1.91
Tat Jocko is an absolute beast when on song and he has always raced well over this track and trip. Five starts back he bounced to the early lead and he beat a classy lineup when posting a sizzling 25.21. Tonight's race appears to lack depth, so if he can avoid bother in the first 40m or so he should be able to balance up in a prominent position and he will prove extremely hard to hold out.
