Rockhampton greyhound tips & quaddie picks | September 14, 2022
We have another huge 12-race card at Rockhampton to sort through and find some winners. The warmer spring days and nights are now here in Queensland. Let us find some good bets along with our quaddie selections.
BEST BET: First Black Jack (Race 7)
The Ken Boody-trained First Black Jack (box 7) looks the best bet on this program. This son of Zipping Garth has won his last four starts in impressive style at Townsville and Rockhampton. Three starts ago at Rockhampton, he beat Mexicali Jane by over six lengths clocking an extremely fast 23.38 seconds from box two. He has won an impressive 16 races, and only missed the placings once, from 23 career starts over this track and distance. He has been pinging the lids lately so expect him to cross this open class field early and lead all the way. The Peta Boon-trained Velocity Tamika (box 2) has a great low draw and looks the only greyhound capable of causing an upset.
Best Bet

Form: 151111 | Career: 41: 23-4-6 | Trainer: Ken Boody
NEXT BEST: Ebby Declan (Race 9)
The Allan Watts-trained Ebby Declan (box 5) looks the next best bet on the program. This son of Aussie Infrared won last Saturday from box four when making his Rockhampton debut over the 407m distance, clocking a good 23.92 seconds. Tonight, he steps up to the 510m distance which should suit and he has a noted slow beginner drawn directly inside of him. Four starts ago, this former Sydneysider finished a close second at Wentworth Park behind Cheeky Bon Bon, clocking a good 29.99 seconds. Main dangers look to be Miss San Marco (box 3) and Spot On Polly (box 7).

BEST VALUE BET: Paddy Harks (Race 10)
The Gary Weeding-trained Paddy Harks (box 5) looks the value bet for the program. This son of Blazin' Bomber is currently in good form and looks a great each way bet. Last Wednesday night we made him our value bet, but he was luckless early when unplaced behind Bank Heist from box seven. His three career wins have been from middle boxes so box five should not be a problem. Tonight, his main danger is the Darren Taylor-trained Nomad Road (box 6) but he is normally a slow beginner and will need luck navigating his way through this field.
