Race 1 – 515M Maiden Final – 7:08PM

The promising Kerrigan Bale improved her box manners here last week when she pinged the lids and reeled off a slick 5.05 first split. Soon after she was off and gone and stopped the clock in a very zippy 29.62. She posted the fastest first split and overall time in the heats, so with a clean getaway she should run away with the prize.

Allen Kessel has been placed in his two runs to date and he hit the line very strongly when placed behind Kerrigan Bale. I would expect him to settle back in the field again, but if there is some shuffling up front he should be able to run over the top. Winston Groom is yet to win in eight tries, but he is a great dog to anchor for second and third in your exotics. He is blessed with quite a bit of talent but he tends to have an issue with passing the leader. Dyna Nico showed speed in her heat and I would expect her to show improvement in the run home tonight.

Top Four: 7 – 6 – 8 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 7/2,6,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 2,6,7/8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 2,6,7/Field/8 ($18 for $1)

Race 2 – 515M Grade 5 – 7:25PM

Lektra Lethal has been racing in consistent style of late and he finds himself in a race he should be able to lead quite comfortably. He has only had a couple of starts over the 515m journey but it is clear he does his best racing when on the bunny. Obviously the last 50m is going to be of some concern, but I think he can build up a big enough break off the back straight.

Gypsy Bling has had no luck in her two runs since returning from Tasmania but she is in good hands and tonight she may be able to regain some confidence. Before crossing to the mainland she posted a sizzling 26.04 win and 30.11 win which shows she has both speed and stamina. Miss Penguin has been a tad inconsistent of late but she is quite talented and the good draw enhances her chances.

Top Four: 4 – 5 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Lektra Lethal.

Race 3 – 515M Grade 5 – 7:44PM

Oscura is a really exciting talent but he can make punters very nervous in the first 50m. In recent times he has been bombing the start and turning in big performances to score or be placed. Tonight he has the benefit of a slow beginner drawn directly outside so he should get every chance to settle much closer to the speed tonight. I expect him to start around the even money mark so it may be worthwhile anchoring him in exotic bets.

Staker's Chin has won three of his four tries from box eight, with one of them being over this trip in a sizzling 29.50. He musters pace very quickly in his races and I expect him to be prominent throughout. Mumma Hook has struggled to run the 500m trip out in her brief career but she should be able to lead for a long way tonight and therefore she must be included in your exotic bets. Half Way There is also drawn to run a big race. Clearly Oscura has them covered ability wise but if he makes a mistake the race becomes extremely open.

Top Four: 3 – 8 – 2 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3/1,2,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Quinella: 3 to rove with 1,2,8 ($3 for $1)

Race 4 – 595M Grade 5 – 8:08PM

Proven Trendy has come up with the coveted red draw and with a clean getaway he should get the cash in convincing fashion. Six of his twelve career wins have come from boxes one or two and on the bend start it will be a big advantage. In recent starts he has not experienced a lot of luck but three starts ago he did score an impressive 34.71 Meadows win.

Dyna Orion found a ridiculous amount of trouble when making his middle distance debut at last week. Tonight he should be able to follow Proven Trendy though at the first turn and he has given every indication that this trip will really suit. Kayo Marciarno will be hitting the line strongly and he is worth anchoring for third and fourth in exotic bets. Ozzy Bale having won three of seven over this track and distance has a small winning chance.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 6 – 4

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1/2,4,6/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 1,2/1,2/Field ($12 for $1)

Race 5 – 515M Mixed 4/5 – 8:28PM

Gimme Fuel is racing with great confidence at present and he hit the line strongly when scoring at The Meadows in a slick 29.92 last Saturday. The most impressive part of that win was the fact that he managed to win coming from off the speed. Tonight there doesn't appear to be a whole lot of early speed and if he can step away on terms he should have sufficient speed to punch through and lead. You will be asked to take as short as $2.80 but with a clean getaway that is pinching money.

Hello Good Bye appears well drawn out wide and he was far from disgraced when placed behind Surf Mail here last week. He is clearly four or so lengths from his best, but his present form suggests that he will be a major player in this. Ollie Bale is a One winner and has made numerous Group race finals so he must always be respected. His draw may be a little concern but he did post a 5.09 first section here last week and a repeat of that will see him avoid early bother.

Top Four: 2 – 7 – 4 – 1

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Gimme Fuel (back in form and this looks his race)

Race 6 – 515M Special Event Final – 8:52PM

In what is a quality final, I have decided to go with the early speed. Mepunga Moss shanghaied out last week and reeled off a sizzling 5.03 to the first mark. After burning early she still had enough in the tank to stop the clock at 29.43. Tonight if she can step like she did in her heat she should have no trouble leading again and with some shuffling up behind her she will get away with the prize. It's also worth noting that she held off some strong chasers in her heat so she will take some catching again.

Mepunga Hayley has been pinging the lids of late and smashing the clock, however tonight I don't think she is suited by the red draw. Normally she likes a little room to muster and from the red I don't think she will get it. Oakvale Destiny is a very exciting talent and she has produced barnstorming finishes in her past two starts to snatch victory on both occasions. Once again the box draw hasn't been too kind but she has the ability to lead or come from off the pace, so with a fairly trouble free run she should play a major role. Heidi Go Seek could be the surprise packet, her best form has been over the longer journeys of late but she has been known to ping the lids on occasions and if she settles near the lead and she can cause an upset.

Top Four: 4 – 5 – 3 – 1

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Mepunga Moss, should be big over's.

Race 7 – 715M Grade 5 -9:11PM

Luna Jinx had plenty of excuses last week but in saying that she can be her own worst enemy. After a slow beginning she got squeezed out a couple of times and had to give the leaders too big a start. Tonight she has two slow beginners underneath and that should allow her to settle in the first three. Two starts ago she ran the hands off the clock when scoring here in a breathtaking 41.68 and if she goes anywhere near that time again she will put an absolute space in them.

Zipping Joe is another costly conveyance but he is drawn where he wants to be and if he can get away a little cleaner tonight he should give the favourite a run for her money. Three starts ago he turned in a monster performance when placed in a heat of the Group One Cup. Allen Wake has enough ability to cause a boil over in this event. He made his staying debut last week and he appeared to hit the line solidly enough after getting a long way back early. He is likely to be double figures and he may be worth a place bet if you don't like or can't trust the favourite.

Top Four: 3 – 8 – 5 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3/5,6,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 3/5,6,8/5,6,8 ($6 for $1)

Place bet on Allen Wake if you can find $2.70 or better fixed.

Race 8 – 515M Free For All – 9:35PM

Crackerjack Dak is an excitement machine and last week he beat three up and coming stars quite convincingly. After an even getaway he showed a tremendous turn of foot and dashed away before scoring in a 29.43. His first section of 5.05 would be enough to cross this field and they will find it hard trying to reel him in running sub 29.40.

Cornelius Fudge relished the step up in distance with a smart 34.47 win here last week and he appears suited in this event as there appears to be a few front runners engaged. Two starts ago he roared home to be placed behind Awesome Project over this trip in quick time. Mepunga Armagh continues to impress and it's hard to look past his 29.37 win here last week, however there is a bit more early speed in tonight's event and he may get burnt off going through the first bend. Nockabout Aussie turned in the biggest performance of the night last week, during the run he was crowded and forced to ease out three times before charging home to be beaten by just over a length behind Mepunga Armagh. He will be big odds and with the right run he can feature.

Top Four: 7 – 6 – 8 – 1

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Crackerjack Dak and Noackabout Aussie (more on Crackerjack Dak)

Boxed Quinella: 6,7,8 ($3 for $1)

Race 9 – 595M Mixed 4/5 – 9:55PM

See Him First has relished the step up in distance of late and if he can ping the lids like he has been recently then he should take some catching. He is yet to win here over this trip, but three starts ago he displayed great early speed before scoring a blistering 37.38 win. I'm tipping that he will get a clear run early tonight and he should be able to show his best form.

Cosmic Wise can be hard to follow at times but she looked super impressive in her recent all the way 34.47 Meadows win. Obviously if she can step cleanly again she will prove hard to hold out, however her box manners aren't always great. Easton Bale has been racing in much stronger company of late and he has won here previously in a very smart 34.38.

Top Four: 4 – 2 – 3 – 7

Suggested Bet: Win bet on See Him First (should be $3.60 or better)

Race 10 – 515M Grade 5 -10:12PM

Wise Ella has let me down at her past few starts but I'm willing to give her one more chance. After a fair getaway last week she was posted wide for most of the trip but she still kept coming in the home straight. If she can step cleanly tonight there doesn't appear to be a whole lot that will keep her out and on the bunny she is a very fast chaser.

Lektra Brave looks perfectly drawn and he returned to form recently with a slick 25.32 win. He has won three of nine over this trip and his 29.56 PB should hold him in good stead. He can be a tad unreliable at box rise but the red draw can be forgiving. Dyna York drops back to the more suitable 500m journey and from box three he should be able to find the rails in the early stages. He doesn't win out of turn but he is worth anchoring for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 8 – 1 – 3 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1,8/1,3,8/1,2,3,6,7,8 ($16 for $1)

Boxed Quinella: 1,3,8 ($3 for $1)

Race 11 – 515M Grade 5 – 10:32PM

Giddy's Star hasn't won for a little while but she has everything going for her tonight. She has won six of 20 at this venue and she normally excels from an inside draw. Last start she posted a quick 5.07 to the first mark and a repeat of that should see her hold the early lead. She isn't overly strong but this race doesn't appear to have a great deal of depth. You will be asked to take $3.00 or shorter but this really looks her race.

Pappa Gallo has been racing in consistent fashion and he won by a whopping nine lengths at last time in a more than handy 29.73. He is normally quite reliable at box rise and he should find himself in contention throughout. Crowdza Captive has only won the one race from 18 tries here, but her two recent placings here have been ultra impressive. My only concern with her is that she may not have enough speed to cross the red.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 8 – 4

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Giddy's Star.

Race 12 – 515M Grade 5 -10:52PM

As we get to the final event it appears we have found the bet of the night. Drawn perfectly in the red, Dynamo's Gift should be able to utilise his early speed and lead from go to whoa. Three starts ago he pinged the lids and never looked back when scoring a dazzling 29.46 win here, there doesn't appear to be anything in this event that can match that performance.

Cette Away returned to winning form at last week when leading all the way in a very quick 29.85. On that occasion she beat a very handy field and with a clean getaway tonight she should be in the mix. Sisco Good continues to improve and he hit the line very strongly when scoring at The Meadows last week in 30.11. I don't think he can win tonight but he must be included in your exotics.

Top Four: 1 – 7 – 3 – 5

Suggested Bet: Put the profits on Dynamo's Gift to win, should be $2.40 or better. Great bet for the $250 free bet at Sportsbet.
