Leg 1 – Ipswich – Race 8: Macnivek To Place $2.20
Macnivek was desperately unlucky when placed in his heat last week and with an ounce of luck early he should make his presence felt. He is armed with solid early speed and he has average beginners drawn underneath, so with a clean getaway he should be able to settle in the top two or three early and he will be very strong in the run home. He is currently $2.20 and that appears to be an attractive price for the place.
Leg 2 – Richmond – Race 6: Bulletproof Esky To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $1.80
Bulletproof Esky is a highly talented middle distance chaser when on song and he will be suited by the smaller field tonight. In recent weeks he has recorded two smart placings over similar journeys and today he gets his chance to return to the winners list. For multi purposes I think the top two finish is the much safer option and the price of $1.80 is a good price.
Leg 3 – Traralgon – Race 8: Cosmic Yap To Win $3.20
Cosmic Yap is a super talent when right and from the red draw he should get every chance to return to the winners list. In recent weeks he has experienced a lot of luck in running but on each occasion he has exited poor draws and he has been knocked over soon after box rise. From the inside tonight he should be able to step well and I would expect him to drive through and just about the hold the lead as they head through the corner. He is quite strong in the run home and I suggest you take the $3.20 early as I expect him to start a lot shorter come jump time.
