Saturday’s Wentworth Park preview & best bets – 10/12/2022

Wentworth Park betting tips

racing returns to this Saturday night with two heats of the Group Three . Throw in a restricted no metro win series for the dog and the bitches and there will be eleven races with talent aplenty sizzling the sand at the grand old lady of greyhound racing. As per usual we will try to find you a few winners and hopefully some value.

BEST BET: Rockstar Lopez (Race 3)

This daughter of and Diamond Ruby has been improving out of sight at of late and will take a power of beating here tonight. She has gone from strength to strength and deserves her shot in town. Chris Nutt will also enjoy the box draw she has, as she has won three from four from box seven and placed her only attempt from box eight, so she is clearly at home drawn off the track. She has a moderate beginner drawn under her and the dog in the six box will head straight for the fence which should give her a mile of room early. If she begins WELL and can cross this field she will win comfortably as there are no strong dogs to chase her down. The key is showing that early pace she has shown at Richmond recently and blowing them away early.

Danger: who has a good turn of pace herself but just hasn't been bringing her best lately. If she begins she has a personal best of 29.76 secs here and from the front that would win most races here.

NEXT BEST: Reflections (Race 5)

Kerry Drynan's ultra-consistent bitch will get a chance at Group glory starting tonight. She ran fifth in the Young Star Classic Final here back in September and has barely put a paw wrong finishing no worse than fourth ever since. You know what you will get with this girl; good early pace and an early lead and that will prove crucial tonight. Zipping Kyrgios will go up the track and Fat Boys Charm will head for the fence and they could take each other out early. and Lightning Ethics who will also show pace like to race in the middle of the track and will give Reflections all the room she will need early to stick hard to the fence and to open up a handy break. Then it will just be a case of wheather she can hold off the very strong dogs like Kyrgios and Fat Boy if they are close enough to her.

Danger: Zipping Kyrgios who rarely runs a bad race and his last start at Dapto was the worst he has produced in some time. Be assured however that he WILL bounce back and he is the danger if he gets a clear crack at Reflections late.

BEST VALUE: Whitely (Race 9)

It has taken Amanda Durham a while to sort this boy out and for those who have followed our page for a while now will know that this boy was on our as a talented young dog that was desperately unlucky here at Wenty Park. Well after a month off, Amanda might have finally unlocked the key to this bloke. His first up run at Bulli was impressive and then he just couldn't hold off a strong type in a big effort and again showing good pace. He has come up with an inside draw which suits him as he has one win and one placing from two attempts from this box. If he can begin, he might be able to sit off the hot early pace of the six dog and then overpower it late.

Best Value

Race 9 – SilkWhitely (2)

BEST ROUGHIE: Tiger Rose (Race 2)

Steven Sing will rug up this girl tonight. If her performance in her first ever 500m race and her first look at Wenty Park can be trusted, she will be improved out of sight. Her only win to date was from an outside box and she finished off her first 500m race well here last week. She will start at very nice odds again with the inside division looking to be the market fancies and this girl may just be the best roughie on the card tonight and well worth a ticket a her juicy odds. Just needs a touch of luck from the draw.

Best Roughie
