Saturday’s Wentworth Park preview & best bets – 3/12/2022

Wentworth Park betting tips

Summer time is here and Christmas is looming large on the horizon as turns on the December decadence with a fabulous 10-race card this Saturday night. Plenty of quality greyhounds will be racing and there will be lots of fun things to do all month if you make it to the track, culminating in the Christmas extravaganza there on the 24th. As always, there are plenty of winners to be found, and hopefully we can steer you towards a couple of them.

BEST BET: Infra Hustle (Race 2)

This beautiful blue daughter of and Karisma has been given time to develop by master mentor and that patience has started to pay dividends as she has worked through her distances and grade nicely in her first three starts. Her maiden win here 10 days ago was good even if the time wasn't flash but having said that there is no other dog in this race that can boast a win on this track. Keep in mind it was her first competitive 500m race and also her first look at the track under race conditions and she should improve anywhere up to a half of a second or better and that would put her around the 30sec mark and that would win this race comfortably. Whilst it is difficult to back up your maiden win with a fifth grade win next start, this is a moderate and restricted class race and is a girl that certainly looks to have a future. Box eight shouldn't concern her too much as she has an ordinary beginner drawn under her and she has run a very nice race over the sprints from a very awkward box five. She should have the pace to be very prominent, if not in front early and then just sit back relax and enjoy the show.

Danger: Velocity Dallas has a horrible rate with just one win in nine starts but has six placings to boot and is doing it after beginning poorly on most occasions. He is yet to miss a place from the inside box with his sole win coming off the red rug at . He is a moderate beginner at best but if he gets luck in the run to the first turn, he can finish hard and will run the 500m right out.

BEST VALUE: Despicable Knows (Race 6)

This girl has been a bit unlucky at recent runs and yes while she was beaten a dozen odd lengths by Mr Perfect in the heats was drawn outside that greyhound and is desperate for the fence. Her box beat her last start at after she showed good pace and just couldn't get across to the front and Stephen Fairbairn knows how to get them right for good races. This breed in particular loves being alongside the fence and the fact the all of the fancied runners are draw outside in boxes five through eight, there is a real possibility that they may come together in the early stages. She can show good early pace and that pace may just have her hunting along the fence and holding out the fancied short priced outside runners in the run to the first bend and then she should give you a great sight and hopefully win or fill a place at juicy odds indeed.
