Midnight Outlaw was far from disgraced in his heat and he should have derived a lot of benefit from that run. He was having his first try over 500m and he had to work hard after missing the kick, prior to that run he had showed brilliant speed in some fast trial wins at Ballarat and with a clean getaway tonight he should be able to burn them off and score at nice odds.
Cosmic Rebel is a litter brother and kennelmate and he too should improve on his heat placing last week. From the red he should be able to push through and settle in the top three at worst and if he does hold them out he may be off and gone with the prize mid race.
Zipping Morgan was handily placed on debut last week and he showed smart early speed in that effort. If he can step cleanly again he should settle in a commanding position and he should be right there at the end.
Agile Reason was the equal fastest heat winner and he should be thereabouts again, he will find it harder from the awkward draw but his debut win was too impressive to ignore.

Bowl ‘Em Out is in good hands and he is showing tremendous promise. Last time out he reeled off breathtaking sectionals when placed at Sandown Park behind the exciting Angie Rocks. He will need to begin well to score but there is very little early speed in this event so as long as he doesn’t get crowded he should be able to cross and lead. He isn’t overly strong but this circuit should suit him and if you can get even money I would jump all over it.
Chief Brit is the only other runner in the event with genuine early speed and he should give a good sight. After some luckless efforts he was able to show his true ability with a zippy 22.24 Warrnambool win, the extra distance is a small concern but if he can settle in the top two he should be able to finish in the top three.
Hula has shown good signs in her brief career and if she has some luck from the middle pin she should be able to make some type of impact, she has seen the track so should have no trouble getting through the turns.
Top Four: 7 – 3 – 5 – 6

Some highly promising youngsters look set to do battle and I think the consistent Boxhead should get his chances to score tonight. He has been placed in two of his three tries over this trip and he should get a nice cart into the race from the three early. He has scored some devastating provincial wins in his brief career and he really does look well placed in this.
Tiny Oasis caught the eye when scoring here two runs back in 30.06 and with some luck early she should be in the mix again, she can be hit or miss early but she does possess a nice turn of foot.
Ricardo Raced has won four of six and he is a member of a super litter. He is a very fast chaser when on the lure, however he doesn’t like to be crowded early and he will need a lot of things to go his way in his Metro debut.
Diamond Python is unbeaten in three race starts and it will be interesting to see what she does tonight, this is clearly her toughest test to date but she has showed great speed in all of her races to date.
Zelemar Zest is a must for your exotic bets, he is armed with early speed and he should hold a forward spot early, he isn’t overly strong but he could hang on for some minor money.
Top Four: 4 – 6 – 3 – 7

Boxed Quinella: 3,4,6,7 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 4,6/3,4,6,7 ($6 for 100%)

Hanging In There continues to improve with every run and his past two wins have been absolutely brilliant with the latest win being here in a slick 29.99. On that occasion he recorded best of the night sectionals and if he can repeat those splits he should be able to lead from go to whoa again.
Kantega keeps going from strength to strength and he really caught the eye when scoring at Geelong last time in 25.75, on that occasion he came from off the speed and he powered to the line, if he can get across from the wide draw he should be right in the mix.
Conspiracy has the good draw and he must be respected, he has been placed in five of his past six and he can show early speed in his races.
Cosmic Yap and Bambi Boucheau are both talented and with clear running either one could salute, however they are both poorly drawn and they may struggle to get into the race early.
Top Four: 2 – 8 – 3 – 1
Suggested Bets:
Boxed Quinella: 1,2,3,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 2,8/1,2,3,8 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 2/1,3,8/Field ($18 for 100%)

Julie Bale turned in a great performance when scoring at Sandown in 42.02 last time and tonight she is drawn to win again. There is a bit of speed in three and seven but she should be able to settle in the top two at worst and I would then expect her to take over and dash away mid race. The main dangers are back markers, so if she does everything right she should be able to steal the cash.
Beks returned to form with a top Handicap win last time and he should be right in the mix again, he will be suited by the empty draw on his outside and if he can balance up mid field that should be close enough for him to make an impact.
Coulta Rock is the likely leader and he scored at Sandown last time in 34.28, he has won over the staying journey previously but his last 50m is always a struggle. I dont think he can win tonight but he is a must for your exotics.
Tears Siam is likely to start favourite and she is racing very well, however she is very poorly drawn in box two and she is going to need a lot of things to go her way in running.
Top Four: 1 – 4 – 3 – 2
Suggested Bets:
Exacta: 1,3,4/1,2,3,4 ($9 for 100%)
Quinella: 1 to rove with 2,3,4 ($3 for 100%)

Quarrel Bale is much better than his recent form reads and with an ounce of luck early he should prove extremely hard to stop. His box manners can be a concern at times but he does muster speed very well and if he can settle in the top four that should be close enough for him to score. He has won three of 11 here overall and with a clear run he is capable of going well under the 30 second mark.
Smart Maxwell is probably better suited to a longer journey but he has come up with the good draw and he might have enough early toe to hold them out. He has been placed in four of six over this trip previously and he will be very strong in the run home.
Dyna Brainiac has improved of late and he really caught the eye when scoring at Ballarat last time in a sizzling 25.14, the wide draw is a worry tonight but if he happens to cross he should be right in the mix.
Missile Flash must be included in your quaddies, her form doesn’t read well but she does have the ability to ping the lids and she can run time on the lure.
Top Four: 5 – 1 – 8 – 7
Suggested Bets:
Boxed Quinella: 1,5,7,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,5/1,5,7,8 ($6 for 100%)

Seeking Justice has a heap of talent and with a clear run tonight he should be winning quite easily, however he is second up from a spell and I am a little concerned that he may need the run. He didn’t have a lot of luck at Shepparton when resuming but he did show early dash before getting polaxed, if he can show similar speed tonight he should be able to find the top and he is a very hard chaser to reel in when on the lure.
Unix Bale has a great record here and she showed a return to form two runs back with a sizzling 25.22 Ballarat win. She can be a little risky at box rise but she does possess good speed so she should be able to drive through into a prominent spot.
Dyna Nihilist had no luck at all in his middle distance debut and he did well to get as close as he did. Once again he hasn’t drawn very well but if he can settle midfield or a tad closer he should get every chance to score and he could be good value.
Go Mobo is the likely leader and he should give a great sight, however he isn’t overly strong and I think place claims might be best tonight.
Top Four: 3 – 5 – 6 – 1
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Seeking Justice
Exacta: 3,5/1,3,5,6 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 3/1,5,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Marcus Joe loves racing around this track and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight. He has been taking on some dynamic chasers of late and he should regain some confidence tonight. There is a fair bit of speed drawn in four but that should allow him to get a nice cart across early and if he settles in the top two early he should be too strong.
Quantum Bale is another who races well here and he should lead them, two starts back he speared the lids and was never headed when beating the class Ollie Bale here in 30.06.
Crawf’s Bread is always thereabouts in this type of class and he should come across with the four and five early, he isn’t overly strong but if he settles on the pace he could take home some minor money.
Bogner Bale rounds out the chances, he does his best racing here and he has been placed in six of his past seven starts.
Top Four: 5 – 4 – 3 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Marcus Joe
Exacta: 3,4,5/3,4,5,6 ($9 for 100%)

Virginia Rose has been racing in dazzling form of late and with a clear getaway she should make light work of this lineup. Four starts back she powered to the line when scoring at Sale in a slick 29.42 and if she can reproduce that type of run I can’t see them getting anywhere near her.
Boo Shey can be a little risky at box rise but he does have a fair bit of talent, three starts back he beat a very talented chaser at Warrnambool in 25.74, the box draw is a worry tonight but if he gains a clear passage he should be right in the mix.
Tropical Oasis is much better than her form reads and she should be ready to fire after six weeks off, she is in good hands and if she can sight the lure early she will be able to race with confidence.
Robartette rounds out the chances, he has scored some handy provincial wins in his brief career and he will be very strong in the run to the line.
Top Four: 3 – 5 – 1 – 8
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Virginia Rose
Boxed Quinella: 1,3,5,8 ($6 for 100%)

Axis Bale is a classy chaser when on song and this is the easiest race he has contested for a while. There is a fair bit of speed in six and seven and that should work as an advantage for him as they should bring him across in the run to the first bend. He has been placed in five of ten here and he has scored some sizzling wins at Sandown Park over this distance range.
Exuberant was a solid 30.33 winner here two runs back and he should run a big race, he can miss the kick at times but he does have a tremendous turn of foot and he should be able to get across in the run to the first turn, my only concern is that he isn’t overly strong and they could grab him in the closing stages.
Hogganaught has won four of his past six and he should match motors with the six early, I would have preferred him from an inside draw but his early speed should help him overcome some difficulties in the early stages.
Dynamic Punch rounds out the chances, he has the good draw and he can reel off good sectionals when given clear galloping room.
Top Four: 8 – 6 – 7 – 1
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Axis Bale
Boxed Quinella: 1,6,7,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 6,7,8/1,6,7,8 ($9 for 100%)

Tambay Bale showed good speed before getting lost through the corner when placed here last week, tonight she has a fast beginner and keen railer drawn underneath and that should allow her to get a nice cart across as they head into the first bend. She is armed with great mid race speed and if she is able to balance up in the top two she might put a space in them mid race.
Ivy Bale is racing in devastating style and she absolutely flew around here last week when scoring in a blistering 29.77. If she reproduces that type of effort she will win comfortably, however there is a fair bit of speed on her outside and she will need a few things to go her way.
Berzerk continues to improve with every start and he broke the 30 second barrier here two runs back when winning in commanding fashion.
Conquer Fear could be the value, he is racing in consistent style and he can show good early speed when given room after box rise, he meets some handy types but he is capable of going around the 30 flat mark.
Top Four: 8 – 4 – 6 – 2
Suggested Bets:
Boxed Quinella: 2,4,6,8 ($6 for 100%)
Exacta: 4,6,8/2,4,6,8 ($9 for 100%)
Trifecta: 8/2,4,6/Field ($18 for 100%)

Crackerjack Burn has always had high speed but last time at Ballarat he appeared to show a lot more strength when scoring in a sizzling 25.27. With a clean getaway tonight he should be able to lead clearly again and I dont think they will get anywhere near him as he should be running around 30 flat mark on the lure.
Kang Bale has regained his best form in recent weeks and he capped off a good stretch of form with a slick 29.99 win here, he is poorly drawn tonight but he is going too well to dismiss.
Dark Jameson has been a tad disappointing in recent months but he should appreciate racing in this class and if he settles in the top three he could salute at nice odds.
Speedie Rioli rounds out the chances, he is better suited to the provincial circuits but from the red tonight he must be given some chance.
Top Four: 4 – 6 – 2 – 1
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Crackerjack Burn
Exacta: 4,6/1,2,4,6 ($6 for 100%)
Trifecta: 4/1,2,6/Field ($18 for 100%)
