Race 1 – 525M Maiden Final – 7:15PM

In a race which lacks early speed, its hard to look past the promising Spring Leaf. After stepping cleanly she showed a tremendous turn of foot before scoring a slick 30.13 heat win last week. Tonight she exits from the same draw and she should get every chance to lead throughout.

Zipping Maggie looms as the main danger on her 30.81 heat win. Her winning time may look ugly but the fashion in which she won her heat was mighty impressive. After getting knocked over early she powered to the line for a strong win.

Top Four: 6 – 5 – 2 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 6/2,3,5/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 6/5/Field ($6 for $1)

Race 2 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:38PM

Highbury made his Victorian debut here last week and he was far from disgraced when running second in handy time. Tonight he has slow beginners drawn either side and he should be able to lead at the first turn and go on to score.

Loud One has been racing in much stronger company of late and she has drawn favourably in box two. Three starts ago she was narrowly beaten here in good time and a repeat of that would see her be competitive again. Dyna Orion is expected to start favourite but he will struggle from the wider draw.

Top Four: 3 – 2 – 4 – 5

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Highbury and Loud One.

Race 3 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:57PM

The speedy Belena Jake has scored two impressive country wins on the trot and he looks well placed to make it a hat-trick. In his latest win, he managed to hit the line fairly strongly so he should have no trouble with the rise in distance.

If Belena Jake misses the kick, I would expect Tye Me Up to take advantage and prove hard to beat. He generally needs to lead to win his races and from the red draw he should get every chance to punch through and lead. I think Belena Jake will cross him but if he doesn't Tye Me Up will take some catching.

Top Four: 6 – 1 – 4 – 5

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Belena Jake and Tye Me Up.

Race 4 – 525M Grade 5 Final – 8:20PM

Allen Zentax was desperately unlucky when placed here last week and he should be able to go one better. He is armed with a great turn of foot soon after box rise and he has won here previously in a slick 30.03, that run would see him win comfortably tonight.

Dyna Fancy is a reliable beginner and he should make the race for Allen Zentax, i am expecting Dyna Fancy to carve across to the rail early and find the lead and in the process bring Allen Zentax across. I dont think she can hold him off but she should hold on for the quinella. Spring Charlotte also has small claims.

Top Four: 6 – 5 – 2 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Allen Zentax

Quinella: 5 & 6

Race 5 – 525M Mixed 4/5 – 8:40PM

After scoring at in a 29.28 in April, Cee Ronaldo has been luckless in his four subsequent starts. Tonight he exits the red draw and he has the luxury of two slow beginners and wide runners drawn directly outside. He's one of the better bets of the night.

Frank Furter returned to form with a smart 29.65 win recently and tonight he should settle near the speed and be a major player again. The last 50 metres is always a concern, but he will be in the mix as they turn for home. Fanciful Moments will hit the line hard, anchor for third and fourth in exotics.

Top Four: 1 – 6 – 4 – 7

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Cee Ronaldo.

Race 6 – 600M Grade 5 – 8:57PM

Tweed Bah Day has experienced a limited amount of luck in his two Victorian starts, tonight he appears perfectly drawn out in box seven and he should get every chance to return to the winners list. If you can get $3.50 or better, load up.

Greywinds Butch may be the surprise packet of the night, he can be very hit or miss early but he is capable of reeling off slick times when he does hit. He has a smart 34.42 PB here and at $16.00 or better he is worth a saver bet. Oxley Major and Rebelation both have place claims.

Top Four: 7 – 3 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bet: Win bets on Tweed Bay Day and Greywinds Butch (more on Tweed Bay Day).

Race 7 – 525M Grade 5 – 9:20PM

Go Mobo appears to have finally put it altogether, after a disappointing effort at this venue in early April, he showed his true colours with two sizzling Sandown Park wins and he destroyed a quality lineup in both wins. He should settle in the top two and get the job done easily.

Tweak returns to his favourite track and he appears ideally drawn in the red. He has won two of his past three starts and he has been hitting the line very strongly. I dont think he can test the favourite but he should get home in time for the quinella spot. Omar Gee seems to always find trouble but he must be respected in this.

Top Four: 2 – 1 – 3 – 7

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 2/1,3,7/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 2/1/Field ($6 for $1)

Race 8 – 525M Free For All – 9:42PM

Dyna Ishaan is a consistent chaser and she looked very impressive when beating a smart field at in 25.30 on Monday. Tonight he has two slow beginners drawn underneath so she should have no trouble finding the early lead. I'm expecting there to be a bit of trouble at the first bend so he should steal the prize.

Tyronimo hit the line strongly when scoring here last week in 30.01 and he should be running home strongly again tonight. My only concern is whether or not he can get through the first bend unscathed. Fort Allen will settle on the speed so he must be included in the exotics.

Top Four: 4 – 3 – 1 – 8

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Dyna Ishaan.

Race 9 – 600M Grade 5 – 10:05PM

Sir Gazza has been racing in good style of late and tonight he faces a big drop in class. His latest win came from a wide draw and he has enough speed to avoid early bother. He has been placed in six of his ten starts here and he looks well placed.

Manila Express appears to have found a leg of late and she really caught the eye with a sub 35 second win last Monday. She can be slow to begin at times but with some luck early she will be a major player.

Top Four: 7 – 3 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Sir Gazza and Manila Express.

Race 10 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:25PM

Take Charge recorded two top placings here in Early April and it appears he will get every chance to lead throughout tonight. He has been racing in much stronger company of late and he should appreciate the lack of depth in this event. If you can get $2.20 or better, empty the wallet.

Dyna Evy had been struggling for a while until she pinged the lids and recorded a top 29.73 Traralgon win last start. She tends to race well here and she should figure prominently again with a clean beginning. Lady Goldenpaw is another with early speed, include in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 3 – 5 – 2 – 8

Suggested Bet: Trifecta: 3/2,5,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Race 11 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:42PM

Toughest race of the night, Stylish Baroque is expected to start favourite from the red draw but i've on a couple of runners drawn out wide.

Dyna Irvine is making his metro debut and he has given every indication that the 500m trip won't be a problem. He is coming off two impressive provincial wins and he showed enough early speed to suggest that he can lead tonight. I think you should get around $5.50 or better, great value.

Zipping Snoopy turned in a mighty performance at Shepparton last time, after giving the classy Dyna Ishaan a head start, he hit his straps mid race and powered to the line to score a slick 25.25 win. He has won two of three here and i'm tipping him to be a major player again.

Top Four: 7 – 8 – 1 – 2

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Dyna Irvine and Zipping Snoopy.

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11:00PM

I think we can finish the night off on a high. The speedy Access is going to be short but he will get the job done. Last time out he pinged the lids and gave nothing else a chance when scoring a slick 29.43 Sandown Park win. He should make every post a winner again.

Strange Wish does his best racing from inside draws and he has a wide runner drawn directly outside. He can show early pace at times and he should find himself in a prominent position as they go through the first bend. If the favourite makes any mistakes, this bloke should be there to capitalise. Stylish Shazz has claims at odds also.

Top Four: 4 – 1 – 7 – 3

Suggested Bet: put the evenings profits on Access to win and load up with the sensational free bet offer at Sportingbet.

Quaddies:

1/3,7/2/1,3,4,8 ($8 for $1)

1,2,4,6,7/3,7/2/1,3,4,8 ($40 for $1)
