The Meadows tips, odds & value bets | Easter Saturday 2022

The Meadows greyhounds betting tips

It's Easter Saturday greyhound racing at in what looks to be perfect weather to attract a large crowd on track. Race one commences at 6:37pm AEST, while the last of 12 races goes off at 10:30pm. The quaddie legs start at 7:57pm in race five. Team Dailly has four of the eight runners in the first race and we are banking on them to get us some money in the pocket early.

BEST BET: ROMINA BALE

Box one should help with this daughter of x Kenju Bale. She ran a solid 30.02 here when second here on April 6 and looks a winning chances if she can position up handy. She has also ran some handy races of recent times at and so don't let the one win from 19 starts fool you. She had the red box twice at Geelong during March and ran two seconds, but we think she is more suited to the 525m now that she has the miles in her legs. Her run at this track and distance on Wednesday was just fair when fourth (box six), so we might get a nice little price just under each-way odds for her in this one. Aston Oscar (Liam Sharp) and () look to be the best chances at toppling the Dailly quartet.

NEXT BEST: LALA GRAPEFRUIT

They say winning form is good form so after winning two on the trot we will go with Lala Grapefruit here. She has won her last couple at Ballarat in 25.57 and 25.59 over the 450m and those times are good enough to match it at city level in a modest race. She will likely have to lead to win, and we are counting on her excellent box manners in this one so she can put a couple of lengths on them early. She broke their hearts in the last couple of races when jumping from box six, so box seven in this event shouldn't be too much of a concern. Her two previous efforts at The Meadows resulted in two last placings but on both occasions, she got cleaned up on the first turn. She is more mature now and is in hot form.

BEST VALUE: PANDA MICK

trains this chaser who is better than what her recent form shows on . She had a good February winning three races for the month which included wins at Horsham (twice) and Park. Since then she hasn't been jumping as well and has been fining bother. But from box two, we think she can position up nicely if she jumps a little better this time. She has a decent finish on her so if shes within 2L of the leader turning from home, she can .
