Race 10: Captivating
Captivating is an absolute star in the making and if she can handle the track at her first look she should take a power of beating. Last time out, she overcame an early knock before powering away to score at Warragul in a blistering 25.67, if she brings that form to Sandown she should be running around the 29.30ish mark and that will see her win with considerable ease.
Race 7: Why Not Wayne
Why Not Wayne is clearly a lot better than his form suggests and from the rails draw tonight he should get every chance to return to form and regain some confidence. The two should give him plenty of room in the initial stages and the three is a very slow beginner, so with a clean getaway he should be able to push through and assume control and he is a different chaser when on the arm. He has posted a sizzling 34.19 here previously and at the $9 with Bet365, he appears well over the odds.
Race 2: Alpha Ares
Alpha Ares looks well placed in this company and he should be suited by the wide draw. Tonight he finds himself in a race which lacks genuine early speed, so if he does everything right at box rise, he should be able to settle in the top two early and from there on he will take some holding out. He is currently around the $6 mark with Bet365 and that appears to be great value.
Race 8: 3 To rove with 2 & 7
Privacy is a reliable beginner and he does his best racing here, he should settle in the top two early and he will be right in the finish. Restless Heart is better than its form reads and with some luck should add some value to the quinella, whilst the seven has a good record here and is armed with good early speed so it should be in the mix for most of the trip.
