Leg 1 – Warragul – Race 3: Amlin Boy To Win $4.20
Amlin Boy is a promising speedster and since scoring here on debut in a zippy 22.76 he hasn’t experienced a lot of luck in running. Tonight he has a wide runner on his outside and a very slow beginner underneath so if he can get away cleanly he should be able to push forward and I would expect him to assume control. This is only his second try over this distance range, so the last 50m is a slight concern but I think he should have enough in the tank to score.
Leg 2 – Warragul – Race 10: Noaki Lynx To Win $2.25
Noaki Lynx is a faultless beginner and although her record her is just ok, she has gotten a lot stronger in recent months and this race does appear to be hers. There is some speed drawn in the middle but she should have no trouble holding them out and she should pinch a break mid race. The last 30m is a worry but there isn’t any overly strong finisher in this race so I think whoever holds the lead should win.
Leg 3 – Lismore – Race 6: Crankshaft To Place $1.57
Crankshaft can be a little hard to follow at times but he has won two of three over this track and trip and he does have a fair bit on his rivals talent wise. He can be a little hit or miss at box rise but he does pick up well and he should get a nice cart across from the six and seven in the run to the first corner. He is extremely strong in the run home and if he balances up in the top four early he should prove far too strong for his rivals. He is currently great value at $3.90 for the win also.
