Leg 1 – Albion Park – Race 9: Gold Ziva To Win $3.80
Gold Ziva isn't the best of beginners, but she is a very powerful chaser and she has turned in some great efforts in recent weeks. Last time out she hit the line very hard when placed behind the classy Sheza Keen Size and on that occasion they did go very fast. I'm expecting the red to hold the early lead, but if she can balance up in third or fourth spot, she should prove too strong in the run home.
Leg 2 – Shepparton – Race 6: Coota's Cazaly To Place $2.10
Coota's Cazaly is likely to miss away a little, but he does possess a dazzling turn of foot and he is ideally suited to the wider draw. He has always done his best racing here and his speed from the 50m to the 250m mark is impressive and he appears to be well over the odds in this event. His box manners are a slight concern, so that's why I can't tip him to win with any confidence, however from the good draw I can't see him missing a place.
Leg 3 – Shepparton – Race 7: Jaimandy Hatty To Win $1.40
Jaimandy Hatty is an exciting staying prospect and she appears to have quite a bit on her rivals. Last week she was fair to begin but she was able to overcome a couple of difficulties early and he really powered to the line in his 37.81 victory. This race lacks depth, so if he can stay on his feet through the first corner he should be able to take over soon after and I expect him to go on to score with considerable ease. He is short odds but he does appear to be a moral.
