Big Energy adds to impressive Sandown 515m record
Big Energy served up another victory over the Sandown Park 515m journey on Saturday night to make it six wins from 10 starts at the track and trip.
The Jackie Greenough-trained chaser lined up in the free-for-all contest as a $4 chance with top online greyhound bookmakers.
Jumping from box seven, he worked out wide to move up and sit second on the first turn as he gained ground on the leader, My Neo.
On the final corner and into the straight, Big Energy took over and ran on to beat My Neo ($12.20) and Dundee Rebel ($5.30) by less than a length in a time of 29.49.

Having won seven times from 11 starts over the 515m trip, Big Energy is sure to be a leading contender heading into the Group 3 Speed Star on August 23 at Sandown Park.
With prize money of $77,000 up for grabs, runners will qualify based on times run between June 1 and August 20.
Trans-Tasman superstar Postman Pat holds the best qualifying time registered so far with 29.06, while Big Energy is next best with a time of 29.11.
In all-in markets, Big Energy is paying $11 to win the Topgun 525m on November 11 at Sandown.
He is also a $15 chance in Melbourne Cup betting markets for the 515m feature on December 2, and a $14 hope in next year's Australian Cup over the 525m trip.
