Isle Of Rose dominates Laurels Classic, securing Group 2 glory
In a show of dominance, New South Wales (NSW) greyhound Isle Of Rose left her competitors in the dust, winning the 2023 Group 2 Laurels Classic at Sandown on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
The win holds special significance for owner and trainer Troy MacDonald, who expressed gratitude to caretaker trainers Kel and Jacqueline Greenough for their invaluable role in preparing Isle Of Rose for her Group 2 win.
MacDonald, a former professional on the Australian PGA golf tour couldn't contain his excitement.

MacDonald decided to enter Isle Of Rose into the Laurels and rely on Kel and Jackie's expertise to guide the talented youngster through the series.
Despite starting from box six, Ilse Of Rose was able to display speed from the beginning of the race and lead all the way in the sex-restricted classic race.
Isle Of Rose secured a 3.11-length victory in this prestigious age classic for female greyhounds, with greyhound betting sites sending her out as +250 second favourite for the final.
Isle Of Rose defeated Granny Roses and Desired Path, who finished second and third respectively.

Isle Of Rose, a daughter of Barcia Bale and Hello Mavis, was bred by prolific NSW breeder, and MacDonald's mother-in-law, Lorraine Atchison.
The Group 2 $55,000 to-the-winner victory takes Isle Of Rose's career record to 11 wins from 14 race starts with a single second-placing.
The brindle bitch has now won $96,670 for connections.
MacDonald plans to leave Isle Of Rose in Victoria under Greenough's care before bringing her home to NSW to target the 2024 Richmond Oaks.
