Brisbane Greyhounds Signal Higher Marketing Proile

The today announced three new staff appointments as it further expands its operations in the Brisbane metropolitan area.

The Club now races four times per week, from Monday to Thursday, at the Raceway.

Mr has been appointed as the Manager of the newly created Marketing and Business Development Department. Mr Millican joins the Club with experience in and a passion for racing, combined with significant experience in public relations, marketing and events management. Most recently Mr Millican has assumed the role of Account and Events Director of one of the 's leading public relations and events firms. Mr Millican holds a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Public Relations and Journalism.

Ms has been appointed to the Marketing and Business Development Department in the position of Sponsorship and Public Relations Officer. Ms Berry joins the club with considerable local and international experience in events management and marketing. Most recently, Ms Berry has assumed the role of Program Manager for Touch Scotland in the . Ms Berry holds a Bachelor of Science (Sport and Recreation Management) and a Diploma of Recreation Sports Coaching.

Mr Jason Irwin has joined the Club in the role of Operations Supervisor, and will be responsible for the day to day management of operational racing issues at the Club. Most recently, Mr Irwin was the track curator at the Gold Coast Greyhound Racing Club prior to its . He brings an extensive background in greyhound racing to the Club and will be a valuable asset in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy racing schedule.

The three new positions have been funded through savings achieved through economies of scale from racing four times per week and from operational efficiencies achieved in the relocation of operations out of the .

Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club General Manager, , in announcing the appointments, said “This is a clear statement by the Brisbane Club that we are committed to the growth of metropolitan greyhound racing in Queensland, and we are now in the position to actively pursue growth opportunities for our business.”
