Carly Dixon joins Greyhound Racing Victoria Board

Carly Dixon has been to the board of Greyhound (GRV) bringing with her a wealth of experience in the racing industry and corporate sector in Victoria.

Dixon, who previously served as an Executive General Manager at Racing Victoria from 2018 to 2023, possesses knowledge of racing in the state.

In addition, she has expertise from her role as General Manager of Corporate and Public Affairs at Australia Pacific Airports Corporation (Melbourne Airport) between 2010 and 2018.

Currently, she holds the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at James MD Distribution.

Dixon takes over from Robert Greenall, who completed his term on the board in January 2023 after serving since 2015.

The greyhound racing industry plays a role in Victoria's economy, contributing over $643 million annually and supporting more than 4,700 full-time equivalent jobs.

Minister for Racing, , expressed gratitude for Robert Greenall's service and welcomed Carly Dixon to the board, highlighting her leadership experience.

“I have no doubt that Ms Dixon will make a significant contribution to the board and help support the growth of greyhound racing in Victoria with her strong leadership experience,” said Carbines.

, Chair of Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV), echoed these sentiments by praising Dixon's impressive background and emphasising the value she brings through stakeholder engagement, strategic leadership, and industry knowledge to both the organisation and the wider greyhound racing sector.

“We're delighted to welcome Carly Dixon to the board of Greyhound Racing Victoria.

“She has a well-established resume, most recently as an executive general manager at Racing Victoria, and before that, in government relations and corporate and public affairs background at Melbourne Airport.

“Her stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership experience, as well as her racing industry knowledge, will be great assets to Greyhound Racing Victoria and the broader industry,” said Duncan.
