William Hill, the UK betting goliath that swallowed up Sportingbet, Tom Waterhouse and Centrebet, are running a promotion every Thursday on the greyhounds that will grow the bottom line.
The premise of the promotion is place a bet on any greyhound and receive $1 cash (up to the amount of your stake) per multiplier of the box numbers of 2nd and 3rd places when your selection wins.
Each punter can only accept this promotion once on every greyhound race held on Thursdays. Much of the interest tonight is surrounding the Queensland Futurity.
Brett trained the brilliant dog Bogie Leigh to the 2003 Futurity, with the race being named after her a few years later.
Another subplot surrounds last year’s winning trainer Peter Ruetchsi, who will be gunning for back-to-back titles when Sheza Keen Size jumps from the four.
The Group 2 Bogie Leigh Queensland Futurity is open to the best female greyhounds under 30 months of age, with one dazzling lady crowned the queen of the loam at the end of the night.
