Compton Lass upsets odds-on kennelmate at Mt Gambier
Compton Lass saluted in her fifth start at Mount Gambier on Sunday while ending the winning streak of a kennelmate.
The Tracie Price-trained chaser lined up in the 400m juvenile graded race, paying +550 greyhound betting sites.
Her kennelmate, Compton Charlie, lined up in box four as the -153.85 race favourite, looking to notch up a seventh straight win.
Jumping from the pink box, Compton Lass sped to the lead soon after the box rose.
With Cadillac Ragtop (+340) in second heading into the corner, Compton Lass held the lead, with Compton Charlie moving into the race quickly.
Compton Lass ran on to win over Compton Charlie, with the Kerry Lucy Hawker-trained Cadillac Ragtop in third.
She won by 1.5 lengths in 23.28, which improved on her previous best time of 23.38.

The win made it three straight for Compton Lass, with her last start on August 24 producing a 0.25 length win at the same track and distance.
