Indeed, Connections is joining the dots and putting together complete performances.

That was trainer Michelle Sultana's assessment after his impressive victory in an $8900 Grade 5 race over 520m at last Saturday night.

The three-year-old saluted in an impressive time of 29.62 seconds.

He now has 14 wins from 18 starts.

“He's going good. It's very impressive,” Sultana told australianracinggreyhound.com when asked about his winning record.

“(I was happy with) his early sections. We always knew he had it, but he put it together.”

Sultana, who trains 35 greyhounds, is also impressed with kennelmate Fernando Hunter's current form.

The fellow three-year-old finished second in his last start to 's impressive two-year-old , who won the $36,000 Chase Consolation in a time of 29.57 seconds.

“He (Connections) has got the early toe, so he can get out and go,” Sultana said.

“There are others like Fernando Hunter who are just as fast, or even faster.

“He just doesn't have the early speed, but he can chase them down.”

After Connections' win last Saturday night, Sultana said she wasn't sure what lay ahead for him at that stage.

His owner – star jockey – was delighted with the performance.

“Yeah, 29.62 seconds – good result. If only he did that in the semi-final (of the , finishing seventh in a time of 30.80 seconds),” he said with a smile at the time.
