Long Trains Feature Again At Werribee
A remarkable days coursing was conducted by the hard working Werribee Club considering the heavy fog which descended on the track just prior to coursing commencing; a slight delay was experienced but coursing prevailed with some great results.
Graham Long from Golden Square won the Werribee Cup with Lonely Thyme successful from South Australian Greyhound Puzzle Pieces. This was an excellent course with the lead changing during the final stages of the course.
Peru was successful for Roscoe Bickerton and Jim Chircop, this greyhound has coursed during 3 seasons.
Axedale Flyer was again successful for the Dewan team defeating littler sister Dewana Lady. These pups have performed well so far this season and the hope is that they will continue to please. Especiallly as the Derby and Oaks meeting is just around the corner in early July.
Richie Adderley once again trained a winner this time with Chloe Jane. Congratulations to all concerned. Kallara Majik won after being runner up at Benalla two weeks ago. Well done to the Colpoys of Warneet.
Bruce Thomson had some success with Three Dimples winning his event and Kev's Secret being runner up in his event.
The connections of Bowstreet Rita must be pleased, their greyhound gained a start (being a reserve for the Maiden Bitches) due to the scratching of My Golly. It always pays to bring your greyhounds that may be a reserve to the coursing meetings, because if there is a scratching you may be lucky enough to obtain a place in an event, such as Bowstreet Rita did on Sunday.
