Dynamic Spiral Gives Harland A Double

Just staying on her feet would have been an improvement on her last start for Westdale greyhound at Tamworth on Saturday.

But not only did she in Club 5th Grade Stake (457m) but the Russell Harland-trained blue brindle bitch won it.

“In her last start at The last night she fell,” Harland said.

“So to come back with confidence today is good.”

“She's come through well.”

He hasn't had the bitch for very long but since taking over her training he's found the right distance for her.

“She's just improving all the time,” Harland said.

“They hadn't put her over the middle distance so I've put her over the middle distance and I've won three with her now.

“She's had six or eight starts with me now, probably eight by now.”

Dynamic Spiral won the race by five lengths out of box three with Chauffeured (Spencer Storch) running second a neck in front of Tunza Toe ().

The winning time was 26.27 seconds.

Harland said he may now give her at The Gardens.

“She'd trialled there well, so it was disappointing when she fell,” he said.

“She missed the kick and just fell.

“But three fell in the same race and it was a bit of a mess actually.

“But she got up and ran fifth so that was a good effort.

“I might take her back to The Gardens or next, I'm not sure.

“We'll see how she pulls up.”

Harland trained a double with Psychic winning the Greyhound Recorder Free For All (402m).

He said the blue and white dog, owned by his wife Linda, is a good dog that was a strong chance in the race.

That proved correct.

In the other Free For All event the Rosalie McIvor-trained ended Who's Harry's (Barbara Keelan) winning streak in the Virbac Vetsearch (340m) event with Harland's Shameless Gift grabbing second to complete a good day for him.

McIvor also picked up a double with Total Anohki first across the line in the Carlo's IGA 4th/5th Grade (402m).
