Electrified still the firming favourite in Cannington Winter Cup betting
Saturday night's 2023 Listed Winter Cup final at Cannington has seen some spirited betting action, with race favourite Electrified forming in to odds-on, while Elite Machine has been a drifter.
Electrified turned around some non-winning runs from an unsuccessful trip to Victoria, with a nice return to form last week to win the first of two Listed Winter Cup heats from box seven.
After the 2022 Group 3 Young Stars Classic winner drew box one for the final, the Krystal and Steve Shinners bred, owned and trained chaser was always going to be posted a race favourite in greyhound betting odds.

The 2023 Group 1 Perth Cup runner-up at Cannington (520m) had got out to as much as +105 with greyhound betting sites, but has since been crunched in to -111.11.
In contrast, the obvious second favourite in the race, the 2023 Group 1 Perth Cup winner, Elite Machine, has drifted in greyhound betting from +170 out to +200.
Elite Machine had to settle for third in last week's Winter Cup heat behind West Australian (WA) greyhound racing star on the rise, Barbeque Man, after finding plenty of trouble in transit.

Elite Machine, who won the 2023 Listed Lew Dorsa Memorial Trophy, and ran third behind Crumble Monelli in the inaugural 2023 The Sandgroper slot race; is more than capable of bouncing back from last week's loss.
Listed Winter Cup heats giant killer, Barbeque Man, hasn't captured the imagination of greyhound punters for this week's final.
Greyhound betting apps have had Barbeque Man as short as +400, but the Paul Stuart-trained chaser has been on the drift ever since, and is now +700 in betting.
Electrified, Elite Machine and Barbeque Man are the only greyhounds under double figures for the final, with $19,950 on offer to the winning connections.
All other greyhounds are drifting.
