Flash Tiger, Krypto Curly share spoils in Tamworth To Gunnedah Final
The Tamworth To Gunnedah Final on Thursday came down to a dead heat between Flash Tiger and Krypto Curly.
Heading into the 340m non-graded final at Gunnedah, the Jamie Bush-trained Goofy Gilligan was priced as a $2.60 favourite with online bookmakers.
At box rise, the market elect was last out as My Hacienda went to the front.
The Nevyl Hand-trained Flash Tiger ($6.50) took the lead as they turned into the home straight, while Dale Leard's Krypto Curly ($5) stormed through on the rail and threw down the challenge on the line.
The video replay was unable to separate the pair, who crossed the line together in 20.12, with Cyclone Owen ($13) in third and Gypsy ($21) in fourth.

Krypto Curly had run the Gunnedah track twice previously at the 431m trip, finishing fourth on both occasions.
He finished second in his heat last time out on August 19, a quarter of a length behind My Hacienda.
The Mr Shire x Stratavon Kasey chaser has five wins and eight placings from 20 career starts and has banked $10,430 in prize money.
Flash Tiger had run the trip at Gunnedah on two previous occasions, including a runner-up finish on August 12.
Last time out, he finished third in the heats at Tamworth, two and a quarter lengths behind Go Forward Ray.
The Fernando Bale x Fleur Brann dog has five wins and three placings from 13 starts, with $10,370 in prize money earned for connections.
