Former NT greyhound trainer Jamie Hosking trains a double at Albion Park

Two chasers at very different stages of their careers served up a winning double for greyhound trainer at on Sunday night.

(-133.33) stepped out for his fourth career start (4: 2-0-1), and with a tidy jump he would run on to win by 4.75 lengths in a time of 19.29.

It was the first start at the 331m for the Fernando Bale x Waddling Witch dog, after winning at the shorter 288m at the track last start.

The Churchable-based trainer said he was impressed with his dog's performance and that signs that he was putting it together added confidence.

“Jungle King looks to be learning what racing is all about,” trainer Hosking said.

“Hopefully he can keep ticking through the grades.”

Two races later, it was 's turn to line up for the Hosking kennel.

Coincidentally, Lochinvar Jazz also started a short favourite with online bookmakers, going to the boxes at greyhound odds of -142.86.

From the boxes, he skipped out to sit third before hitting the lead to gain control and run on to win by a length and a half in a time of 19.20.

“Jazz is the complete opposite to Jungle King,” Hosking said.

“He has been frustrating of late doing everything but winning.

“So, it was nice to get the win with him.”

Impressively it was the 76th start for the Kinloch Brae x chaser, who went faster than his far less experienced kennel mate.

He made it 11 wins for his career passing $30,700 in prize money in his third shot at the track and distance in a rare 331m start.

Hosking, who was formerly based in the Northern Territory with 2028 starts at the track; cracked 655 starts at the Albion Park track on Sunday, while also edging closer to the 90 wins at the track.

His last winning double on a card was on February 22 at , with his last Albion Park double last September with Pebble's Girl and 's Jillbilly both in the winner's circle.
