GBOTA Offer Free Trials At Maitland’s New Track
Trainers will be able to test their greyhounds on the new Maitland transition turn at a free trial session on Friday, July 2, 2010.
Work on the transition turn is progressing to schedule with contractor Brian Barrington confident of the work's completion by the coming weekend.
NSW GBOTA, Executive Officer, Brenton Scott, advised that local management had determined to make the first trial session free of charge.
“Whilst the installation of the transition turn is a subtle rather than major change to the track configuration, the local Management Committee is keen to see as many greyhounds as possible put it to the test and so free trials will apply on July 2 from 7.30am to 11.30am,” said Scott.
Field and single trials over all distances will be provided and tickets will be distributed on arrival. The normal Saturday morning trial session will take place on July 3 with the normal fee structure applying.
Maitland will return to racing with twilight meetings on Thursday July 8 and July 9 with the nomination closing times as follows:
- Nominations for July 8 close with GRNSW at 12 Noon on Monday July 5.
- Nominations for July 9 close with GRNSW at 12 Noon on Tuesday, July 6
