Budapest in the astute hands of won well, defeating ’s Tuiaki which ran favourite at ($1.80) but never looked likely to steal the winner’s cheque away from Budapest after racing wide and getting back in the field, eventually finishing second beaten by 4 ¾ lengths in 30.14.
