Halloween proves scary good with Traralgon win
There was nothing spooky about the performance Halloween served up to bounce back into the winner’s circle at Traralgon on Wednesday night.
Trained out of Pearcedale by Karen Pitt, she was sent to the boxes in the 395m fifth-grade race as a -250 favourite with the top greyhound betting apps.
Jumping from box two, Halloween put the race away fairly quickly after shooting to the lead with a rails run and holding control for the entire trip.
She would beat home Infra Lady (+2140) by six lengths in 21.89, with Mrs. Nelson finishing in third.
The winning time improved her previous best of 22.19, recorded on June 23 in her only other start at the track and trip, where she beat Aston Matador by close to seven lengths.
The daughter of Shima Shine and Appointed has saluted seven times with a further seven minor placings from 19 career starts, banking $20,930 in prize money for connections.
