Mackenna justifies short odds in Horsham final

maintained her unbeaten record with a win at on Monday.

Mackenna is proving to be a star on the rise after taking out a restricted-class final at Horsham on Monday.

In the 485m contest, the -trained chaser lined up as a $1.30 favourite with top online greyhound bookmakers.

Last start on August 15, she stopped the clock in a best-of-night effort of 27.02 in the heats, winning by 3.5 lengths over Breeze Breaker and Lala Rapid.

In the final, she jumped cleanly from box seven to shoot to the lead and did not look back, beating Hidden Stones ($6.60) and Hamblin Bale ($20.60) by 5.75 lengths in another fast time of 27.07.

Trainer Carruthers has been impressed with her performances.

“Very pleased with her win today and her record to date,” she said.

“We will have a look at the program and see where we go next, no set plan just yet.”

Mackenna's first four career starts were all wins over the 525m journey at , including two heats and two finals.

The x bitch holds an undefeated record to date with six wins.
