The greyhound racing event at Murray Bridge, which was scheduled for tomorrow, January 23rd, has now been called off due to the rising temperatures in the area.

An earlier decision had been made to reschedule the race meeting to the morning in an attempt to preserve the greyhound meeting.

has now been forced to abandon the meeting altogether due to a changing forecast.

The decision was made after an updated weather forecast revealed an increase in expected temperatures, posing a risk to the safety of both the greyhounds and participants.

The cancellation of the event is a measure taken by Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) to prioritise the well-being and welfare of all involved.

GRSA understands the hazards associated with racing in heat and places utmost importance on ensuring the health and safety of the greyhounds.
